I want to place a shortcut in the taskbar of windows 10 for firefox. It will not let me drag the shortcut there.

I have performed this in windows 7 with no problem. Windows 10 will not allow me to drop it onto the taskbar. Firefox is my default browser. Thanks Bruce Hausmann

I have W10 and it creates the desktop icon and I can created a shortcut in the taskbar. You don't drop into the taskbar you pin it to taskbar. So if your not doing that then your doing it wrong. Or open the browser and click on the icon in the taskbar and pin it to task bar.

When you have firefox opened on your taskbar it will have a firefox icon located there. Then right click on the icon and there will be the open to pin to taskbar. If that doesn't work or it vanishes then you have deeper O/S issues going on.
