Crash with ssl/tls

Thunderbird 38.6.0 I have 3 account, all of them are IMAP and SSL/TLS

If i start thunderbird, it will crash immediately, it crash even in safe-mode. I have tried a reinstall, but no luck. I have tried to create a new profile with the same email account and the old config and it crashed.. so i have tried again but without SSL, it works.. No log, crash report or any messages.

The only way i can start the program is in offline mode but when i try to connect, it crash as soon as it start the connection with the ssl server. It's not a server issue because other clients are working normal (same mail accounts, same TB version).


I don't know where else to look or try.. any help is really appreciated

What OS are you using ? What AntiVirus/Firewall product do you use ?

They aren't the problem, they are the same on other client..

btw Win 7 64bit and trend micro.

Please rule out the following: Disable Anti-Virus software. Start Computer in Safe Mode with networking. Then start Thunderbird in SAfe Mode. Please state what occurred.

In Thunderbird Help > TRoubleshooting Information click on 'show folder' a new window opens showing contents of profile folder.

Close thunderbird now - this is important. look for and delete this file : cert8.db Start Thunderbird.

When you say 'crash', confirm do you mean program auto exits, or freezes/hangs ?
