Why is Youtube slow to open in Firefox?

FredMcD replied

When I first go to Youtube in the first time in Firefox session it opens slowly, freezing the browser and slowing down the computer. It takes about 2-3 minutes to load. It's temporarily frozen before it goes to Youtube. Then Sometimes it does that every time reopen a new Youtube page. Sometimes It does it with other sites but rarely. I do open many tabs but usually don't have a problem unless I get to a huge number of tabs. After Youtube initially loads. I don't have any problems at all. I have already refreshed Firefox and updated it. I turned of Hardware acceleration. Adblock Plus 2.6.9 , Browser Backgrounds 36.1 , Open Tabs Next to Current 1.0.0 , Too Many Tabs 1.4.7. I've used the browser without those Add-ons and had the same problem. The CPU is only at 25 percent when it's frozen. I don't that should cause freezing. I have Windows 7 64 bit. 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i5 200k. I've set Adobe Flash to Ask to Activate. What can I do to make Youtube load normally?

Do have Adblock Plus loaded?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
