The addon "TabMix Plus" Keeps opening a new tab everytime i launch firefox saying that the addon has been updated. Googling this problem has given me no help, and clearing my cookies/cache didnt fix it.

Does anyone have an answer to this problem? Id really like to keep this addon, and i consider resetting firefox to be a last resort.

Update your Shockwave Flash.http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the <Alt> or <F10> key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites and see if there is still a problem. Then restart

A few things to try;

  • Remove the add-on
  • Go to the add-ons web page. Look for a support link.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a replacement.
