Sign in to your Mozilla account
Option 1: Pair your mobile browser with Firefox desktop
To sync your bookmarks, credit cards, history, logins and open tabs with Firefox Sync using an existing Mozilla account and QR code:
- On your Firefox desktop:
- Access firefox.com/pair.
- Click .
- On your Firefox for Android app:
Tap the menu button.
- Tap .
- Tap .
- Point your device's camera toward the QR code on your desktop.
Option 2: Log in with credentials
To sync your bookmarks, credit cards, history, logins and open tabs with Firefox Sync by simply signing into your existing Mozilla account:
Tap the menu button.
- Tap .
- Tap .
- Enter your Mozilla account credentials when prompted.
- If you do not have an existing Mozilla account, enter your email address when prompted and tap Access Mozilla services with a Mozilla account. to create one. For additional information, see
Choose what to sync
Tap the menu button.
- Tap .
- Tap your email address.
- Put a check mark next to the types of information you want to sync:
- Bookmarks
- Credit cards
- History
- Logins
- Open tabs
Note: Firefox Sync is not an online backup tool but is designed to enable you to sync browsing data between two or more Firefox installations. To save a backup of your data, see Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.
Connect to a Self Hosted Mozilla Account server
Open the Firefox for Android menu and then go to:
- Settings
- About Firefox
- Tap the Firefox icon 5 times
- Go back
- Edit "Custom Mozilla Account server" to be your content server URL (For example: https://www.fxa.example.local) and edit "Custom Sync server" to be your sync server URL (For example: https://token.fxa.example.local/token/1.0/sync/1.5")
