After many years of using Thunderbird I am now considering ditching it. I am continually getting the Authorisation Failure message when trying to open Thunderbird. Why does this keep happening? It does not happen on my Android devices, just on Windows 11. I have tried deleting all three gmail accounts and re entering them. All is fine until I close down Thunderbird and then open it again. I run Norton 360 and have tried taking off Norton email security, but that didn't work. Any ideas, please?

Something seems to have changed recently with the PDF rendering in Thunderbird. I received an email with a PDF file attached. When I view it on the screen it looks fine, but when printing it out from within Thunderbird part of the top of the first page missing; it looks like part of the image is behind a white rectangle.

When I save the file and print it using Acrobat Reader it renders fine.

I don't know what to make of this behavior, but it does seem to be new and there is a difference between how the file is printed from Thunderbird as opposed to printing using Adobe Reader.

I have been using Thunderbird on my PC for years and when I got my last PC, I found a article to help me move my files. I am now looking for instructions on how to move my Thunderbird files from the PC to the Mac so I can continue using it as I have been.

Hi, I have two accounts in my Thunderbird. They are Gmail (regular gmail account) and CFCC (an institutional account). The CFCC shows up in my Unified Folder list but the Gmail does not. Is that normal? The main Inbox is showing all incoming emails from both accounts so no performance issues, just wondering how to get rid of the CFCC (if that's possible) to eliminate clutter. Within the past day or so, which means 7-18-26 or later, some of my email messages on thunderbird for my pc have a "From" description that is not correct. I look at the messages, and the "From" is entirely different than the "From" description when looking at the email message list. I have never encountered this problem before. I'm using thunderbird 152.0.1 64-bit on my pc.

Each time I open TBird, I get a message at the bottom left of the screen telling me that TBird has deleted X number of messages. I do not want TBird to ever delete any messages. How do I turn this automatic delete function off?

When I create a new e-mail or reply to one that I have received I am able to type in all fields, but there is no "Send" button to the left of the "From", "To", and "Subject" fields.

I can work around this by clicking "File...Send Now", but that is very inconvenient when I am sending many e-mails.

I have tried looking on Google for ideas but have not found anything on this or how to fix. Hope someone can please help would be amazing!

Years back, I created my first account using POP3 when IMAP storage was expensive. Over the years I added many message filters to organize my tasks. Now I'd like to switch to IMAP and found everything I need, except for how to move/convert/copy my message filters. So my question is how can I transfer my message filters when recreating the account using IMAP? (I have a lot of filters, recreating them is no good option...)

I also noticed, that I have some filters for "Local Folders" and some for my POP3 account. Whats you're recommendation for that? Merge them into a single list assigned to the account? How can I do that?

When I compose an email, often a pop-up interrupts me to say "Your draft message was not copied to your drafts folder (Drafts) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the draft locally to Local Folders/Drafts-[my email address]."

It then gives an option to retry (which always fails), save or don't save. It's annoying because it pops up repeatedly when I am writing, and concerning if my messages are not being automatically saved.

Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do about it? Thank you!

Suddenly thunderbird will not accept emails from Yahoo. It use to. The email shows up with a line through it like it has been deleted and the message is blank. How do I fix it? Someone suggested looking at options to see if it's blocked but I cant find the option button

I also regularly use the Mail Merge add-on and this has worked great. However, just come to use it and it has put 80 messages into my Outbox but I cannot get them to send!

I hit the "Send Unsent Messages" and nothing happens.

Very frustrating and would be very happy if someone can help identify the problem!

Hello. When handling a large volume of emails, some sent messages are not saved in the Sent folder. As a result, they are only saved on the 3rd or 4th attempt, and the recipient receives 3-4 copies of the same email. What could be causing this issue and how can it be resolved? We reinstalled the client and configured it to save sent emails to a different folder, but all without success.

Does the Date field in Filters accept relative dates? I get a daily newsletter; I don't want to keep more than one. If I set it to run periodically with Date: set to "today," will it delete any mail older than today?

Does Thunderbird have disc storage space limit and if so how do I know what my limit is and how much is used? When I just sent an email, a popup said it could not be saved to the local sent folder because maybe I reached my storage limit. But I cannot find anywhere that shows me what my storage limit is or how much I have used. I appreciate any help you can offer, Thank you.

Trying to send 3 different emails. Hit send and get: 1) Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. 2) Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. 3) Your draft message was not copied to your drafts folder (Drafts) due to network or file access errors. How can I get these problems fixed?

I've used Thunderbird for years. computer crashed and I'm trying to install Thunderbird on my new PC. Thunderbird cannot find account. I've checked with my provider several times and all settings are correct. Any ideas? I've also downloaded installed and uninstalled 5 times today with the same result.
