Logged onto my laptop this morning, just like every other morning. Firefox opened as if I had never used the browser before. Asked that I sent up a new profile. Could not access my existing profile. I can't find files anywhere on my computer with the information. If I open any of the old Firefox folders, I get a new set-up. Is there anyway to recover my bookmarks and passwords? Not feeling like this is a very secure product right now.

Lately when I go to facebook, I am confronted with captchas to prove I am not a robot. However I keep doing them and keep getting another one. The last time I gave up at about 20.

Meanwhile when I go to f/b on microsoft edge I get in immediately.

J'ai 2 PC sur lesquels j'ai windows 11 ,sur l'un je n'est aucun soucis de faire un copier coller d'un lien du navigateur sur le bureau ,mais sur le 2 ieme PC impossible ,il n'y a que edge qui le permet ,pourquoi ? For the last 2-3 day I have been experiencing a box that asks for my signature each time I go to a new website. I can't move the box. I can't screenshot it. Does anyone know how I can get rid of it?

Fire fox wont allow Prowriting aid to run. Its a desktop app and should be able to run. I have tried updating both programs. Changed settings and done everything I can think of but it still wont work. I dont wish to change Browsers but may be forced to if this problem cant be fixed

Probably the wrong topic, but I can't access two NY Times daily puzzles for the last couple of months after using them with this browser for more than a year before that on this pc and this browser.

I receive the message "Non-compliant action. The current operation is blocked by your IT administrator. Click 'OK' to continue." when going to https://www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html. That URL works fine on Edge, but I like to keep all my personal activity on Firefox and use Edge for my consulting work with clients.

Similarly, but not quite the same, Connections (https://www.nytimes.com/games/connections?GAMES_connectionsRollout_1130=1_ConnectionsV2) displays non-HTML formatted text, see added image.

Working my way through all NYT puzzles, 2 give non-HTLM text while the rest give the "Non compliant action error".

I would appreciate your help.

A user I am servicing uses Firefox every day. They are on Windows 11. Every afternoon (sometimes at other times), Firefox stops working and loses its internet connection (everything else on their computer continues to be connected). When they close and restart Firefox to reconnect, it then tells me the user that they are using an old profile and need to create a new one. They're able to re-log into their Firefox account, which eventually resyncs all their data, but they then have to re-sign into everything, which is a major inconvenience. The only workaround the I have found is to reinstall Firefox, ever time this happens which then allows the user to use all their settings until they have to repeat the process the next day (i.e., everything remains signed in and/or logging back in is easier than described above).

Here's some additional information and trouble testing we've conducted:

Uninstall and Reinstall of Fire fox

Check for updates (Updated to new version and still suffered the same issue)

Cleared cache and cookies

No extensions

Please if anyone has any advice or recommendations it would be greatly appreciated.

I made my post originally on the 3/9/26 but no one has gotten back to me, so I am creating another post.

Up until maybe mid last year, I had an RX580 8gb. I was able to game on my main screen and watch videos on my second screen with no issues. Then I upgraded to a 2080 and now a 3070. When I switched to the 2080 I ran DDU. But ever since switching to NVIDIA whenever I game and watch videos, mainly twitch, the framerate on my game and twitch tanks. Sometimes it even causes a timeout or causes the video to corrupt, then I have to close and reopen the tab. From what I can see in Task Manager, the video decode just starts dying. Sometimes if I pause my game and then pause the video the frame rates will return to normal. If I'm watching something on YouTube, I'll instead get audio issues where the sound on the video will lower if the sound on the game gets louder. I've tried reinstalling Firefox, but that didn't help. I've tried messing around with my internet settings, resetting my modem, that hasn't helped either. Drivers are all up to date. My specs are:

- Gigabyte 3070 oc 8 GB - 16 gb ram - ryzen 3600 - X570 Steel Legend (non-wifi) - Windows 11 pro

Whenever i try to open YT Videos or other in-browser videos in Full-Screen, the video only fills the screen to like 95%. The top and the left have a small bar, which just shows my desktop background. (See att.)

Closing the Full screen window and resizing the firefox window, repairs the issue. But after a restart it happens again.

Enabling hardware acc. kinda fixes it, but not consistently. And i would prefer to not use hardware acc.

A reinstall did not help and i dont seem to be the only one with this issue.

There is an issue with MKV video playback with MP3 audio track in FireFox. The problem is that MKV video plays MP3 audio track without any sound. With AAC audio track the problem is that MKV video initially downloads whole video and only then plays it. In comparison with MP3 and AAC the benefit of MP3 is much better quality and it starts playing without downloading whole video like MP4.

It would be nice if you add support MKV video with MP3 audio playback.

I see a youtube video ready to play when I open my wifi icon on the taskbar. Only happens when Firefox has Youtube open in a tab and I've watched at least one video in preview mode or on the video page. I really wish to turn it off if I can.

My son tried to voicemail me on Messenger but it said this browser does not support voicecalling. I have used this in the past, still on Firefox. I used to get note that a call was coming ans option to connect or discard. Now there is no option to connect. What can I do to get this service back?

This has started a few days ago. I'm running Firefox Desktop on Windows 11. Browsing is perfectly normal, until I try to watch a video in full screen mode. It plays normally for a few seconds and then my whole system freezes, with no response to any action except for hard reset. This has never happened to me before, and all other browsers I try do not demonstrate the same problem. Is there any solution other than changing browser permanently?
