In Settings → Privacy & Security → History → Settings..., I have enabled the automatic clearing of "Site settings" when Firefox closes. However, the clearing of all site settings causes the clearing of all my HTTPS certificate error exceptions (Settings → Privacy & Security → Certificates → View Certificates... → Servers). Is there a way to make some exceptions for the clearing of site settings? I would like the site settings of a few websites to be preserved, while deleting the site settings of all other sites.

In about:config, I see two settings for controlling the minimum amount of time for DNS cache expiration: network.dnsCacheExpiration and network.dnsCacheExpirationGracePeriod. What is the difference between them? They are both set to 60 seconds by default.

When I download an image in Firefox and open it from the downloads folder it will always open in Pixelmator not Pixelmator Pro.

If I double click on an image file elsewhere they correctly open in Pro, but in Finder, the icons are for Pixelmator not Pixelmator Pro. This can be hidden if I turn on finder icon previews, but selecting Get Info always has the Pixelmator icon not the Pixelmator Pro one.

Im not sure if this is a macOS problem, a firefox issue or a Pixelmator bug but it seems to be related to the way the files are registered.

Things I have tried:

Changing file associations in firefox. Rebooting Changing the open-with properties in finder: Open all with Pixelmator Pro Reset the Local & User domains with lsregister lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain user -domain system -v

Recently converted to Firefox.

I routinely receive images from one sender that has a banner that renders two to three times the screen width no matter the screen size.

This issue doesn't occur on the Gmail Mobile app only while viewing Gmail on Firefox (The issue is not resident in Chrome).

way to limit the size of embedded / inline images when logged into gmail on Firefox?

When I click on the Window tab in the Firefox menu, my website prayingwithmylegs[dot]com is only listed as "Mozilla Firefox" unlike all the other windows. This does not happen in Chrome, Safari or Opera.

Also, how do I get the Sidebar to not automatically open when I open my saved windows in Firefox? It wasn't doing that before.

I am using Firefox on Ubuntu 18.04 (current release 111.0, but the problem has occured over the last two releases). I like to open the individual page from a Youtube playlist so that if I get distracted, I won't lose my place. I do this either when disconnected from the internet or using the "work offline" feature. Previously firefox would show either "Problem loading page" or "Serve not found," but now it keeps trying to load youtube which sucks up time, cpu, and memory.

These are pages that I have never been to before so there should be no record in history, but even so I have tried clearing my history and this did not help. I have tried a bunch of other sites, but Youtube is the only site that I have seen this behavior on. Attached is an example (The google page and the first youtube tab were loaded online). The shown youtube tab (second tab) and a random webpage from google (last tab) show this behavior.

Ever since the update Firefox has been taking at least 10-15 minutes to load. The when it does finally load, I can't always get a webpage to load...at least not for another 10 minutes.

I restarted the computer, cleared the cache and cookies, disabled all extensions...nothing helped. This happened the last time Firefox updated. At the time I just stopped System Mechanic from interfering and it worked easily again. This time it isn't System Mechanic, it doesn't seem to be the extensions....what now?

For the past couple of weeks I've been unable to download apps or PDFs or other files from the WWW. I thought the problem may have been Firefox so I uninstalled it. Now I am unable to download & re-install it!!

I click on the DOWNLOAD button and nothing happens.

I'm using macOS MONTEREY 12.6.3

None of my bookmark functionality is working. I have restarted Firefox and cleaned out all extensions etc and so doing have discovered it's only when I reinstall Last Pass that the functionality stops.

Is there any known fix for this, or can I simply no longer use both Firefox and Last Pass together?

Articles of a news site has sometimes link to an embedded Instagram item. These items are now blocked. When I use Edge and click on the link on the page 'Adjust your cookie settings' a javascript:Didomi.preferences.show() it show a pop-up where I can change the settings. But the pop-up to allow certain cookies for this site does not work in Firefox (v111.0.1).

BUT I cannot get the item to log in. This is the error I receive: "We have encountered a System Error. Please navigate to the login page, and try your transaction again."

Why is DuckDuckGo not your default search engine? You seem to be concerned about privacy and security. So why is a more secure search engine not your default upon installation?

Hi lovely People, I try to setup 2FA on accounts.firefox.com with Authy on Android. In Step 1 the code generated from Authy is accepted.

But then, in step 3, when I try to paste in the just in step 2 provided backup activation code, it tells me it's wrong. Am I stupid? I just copied that key from step 2 ... I tried it many times now. Checked if my clipboard is working as expected, tried to delete the spaces in between... I used FF Standard and FF Developer Edition. My Authy is working elsewhere.

Any help? I searched the Forum, found some relating questions, but they never get answered. No one having the same issue?

Is there a way or an add-on that can reload all broken images with one click?

It's too tiring to use the "Reload Image" context menu on each broken image, and sometimes some images are covered by some other controls that make the context menu even not work.

Hi, using firefox for a long time. 2-3 days ago FF started to start slow. If I open FF, it shows me FF GUI without any icons and after 3-5 seconds it starts completely.

Tried to disable all extensions (bitwarden, ublock, easy screenshot, feedbro), same result. Tried to clear cache, cookies, history - same result. At the end I made a reset of firefox via menu, same result. FF is latest version.

See screenshot - this is what I see after start firefox (for about 3-5 seconds) Any idea / fix please?
