Updated to OS Sequoia. When performing search in Address Bar in Firefox before update (previous OS editions), pressing "Control, Return" automatically added the .com to the address and went directly to the site requested. Since updating to OS Sequoia, performing the same task, it will still take the user directly to the .com address, but now shows the following illustrated in the attached file. This does not occur when using Safari or Opera. Did the OS Sequoia update break something?

I can't find a topic area for this - I assume the mods will move it or delete it as appropriate.

These are suggestions for improvements to this forum, where I'm pretty new.

1. When I ask a question that doesn't give me answers I want I get to hit the "Continue" button in the "Still need help..." box, only to be presented with an empty question line. It would be helpful if my original question were copied across.

2. It would be helpful if questions and last answer were dated in the results list. It's a bit annoying to click on an answer only to find that it's from so long ago that it's irrelevant.

Why am I getting problems signing in to various sites including https://www.lner.co.uk/ It works on other internet browsers

I had to reinstall Firefox on laptop B. Initially I copied the profile folder back, as I had a recent backup. However, when I sync'd, it deleted a bunch of extensions - which then sync'd and deleted them from laptop A too.

I got them back (manually) on A, deleted the new installation on B, then reinstalled and resync'd (without copying the profile folder). Same thing happened, except as I wasn't coming from the profile, I'd also lost a bunch of settings. So even worse.

My theory (based on the popup about syncing with a mobile device) is it is, for some reason, syncing with my Android phone config (which doesn't have all the same extensions, as they're not compatible) instead of my browser on A.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any solutions?

Is there a way to force Firefox to print using the system dialogue?

I've tried setting print.tab_modal.enabled and app.normandy.startupRolloutPrefs.print.tab_modal.enabled to false and print.prefer_system_dialog to true but I still get the Firefox pop-up for printing.

The reason I don't want the Firefox print is that it doesn't let me open pdfs in Preview and it is missing most of the printer settings that I use on a daily basis.

Please explain in simple terms (I am not an IT wizz) how I can stop the continual popups in Firefox 128 and Thunderbird 78 on a Windows 11 OS saying “Update Available” with a Download button very easily activated by mistake.

Each time I click Dismiss, a new popup appears either immediately or very soon. The popup blocks a significant area of the screen and will not move.

I already have Update Settings on “Check for updates but let you choose to install them”. There is no option to “Do not check for updates” on these versions of Firefox and Thunderbird. I already have Windows 11 Notification Settings on “Do not disturb” and all Firefox notifications to Off.

I have found the Mozilla Support article “Customising Firefox using Group Policy” at  https://mzl.la/3bLnw2J but I do not understand it and the device I am using is not part of a group installation setup. 

There is a Step by Step guide “How to stop Firefox update notifications” on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nD-oXxrCCRs . This is clear to follow if I pause it frequently to absorb each step carefully. Is this safe for me to try given that I am very inexperienced in using the command line and accessing registry etc?

The Thunderbird popups have only recently started up and I would value advice on how to stop these safely too. I need this version of Thunderbird at present for particular reasons related to gmail so it is important I do not accidentally activate a download on that.

Hi Guys, I have been experiencing an issue for the past week where I get a blank white screen when trying to log into Outlook using Firefox. I can access my Outlook account without any problems on my iPhone and in the Brave browser, but Firefox just won't work it gives blank screen. Has anyone else encountered this problem? What could be causing it, and how can I fix it to prevent it from happening again?

Very frustrated with browser closing and not saving my tabs. Just got a brand new laptop and had everything set up but when I shut down system overnight, this morning I booted up and nothing was saved in Firefox!!!! HOURS of work wasted. So I again spent all morning doing it all again. Just now -- my browser closed automatically in the middle of work I was doing and everything disappeared again. I have been a LOYAL user of Firefox for years but I'm not doing this again. I despise all other options but need urgent help NOW to guide me through. Is it this Private Browsing? thing that showed up I didn't choose? How do I get rid of it? I'm a novice online but can be taught. Waste of my life and time....

But this same website can be accessed by another browser like brave and edge. NOTE: I'm using WINDOWS DEFENDER as security software.

Need access to Motley Fool site to appear completely on screen instead of having a partial screen showing some Motley Fool signs but not being able to utilize normal activity. Had no trouble for many months of subscription getting access to the site and being able to read any articles I want. I have contacted Motley Fool several times and we have tried many things to solve problem but had no problem solving results.

In firefox developer edition, when opening a new window of any kind, or when relaunching/opening the app, the new tab button always ends up on the left hand side. Going to the customization menu, I can move the button to the right side (next to the last tab), which is where I prefer it, however when opening any new window the button goes back to the left side

we are using defence travel system website. earlier there was no issue in website but after updating the mozilla firefox it is showing secure connection failed. Error code: SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT. same website is opening in other browser but not opening in mozilla. we have tried many times to install certificate of that website. The certificate is valid up to 2027. kindly do needful ASAP.

I ma not sure what happened. My pages are missing information, I type and nothing is showing up. I lost my passwords etc trying to restore my app. I have a mac. I go on Safari no issues, just in firefox

My bookmark folders (containing all my bookmarks) disappeared in this latest update. I followed the instructions indicating how to restore my bookmarks, selecting the date I wanted to restore from - but it didn't work. I got an error message saying, "Unable to process the backup file." How can I get all my bookmarks back?

Noticed earlier today that after a Firefox update two icons appeared on the taskbar. Now I'm finding that whenever I try open Firefox from the taskbar it doesn't remember my previous session and looks as if I've signed out, Firefox behaves normally if I launch from the start menu.

I'm using Firefox Browser Windows MSIX package, mozzilla-MSIX - 1.0 v1.3.1.0 (64-bit). On Windows 11 Pro v23H2 build 22631.4169.

Win11 64 bit PC, using Firefox ver. 131, scrolling issues with the Times online newspaper. Used to work ok, just automatically scrolled up and down using the mouse scroll wheel. Sill works fine in any other browser. Downgraded to Firefox ver. 128esr, that works fine too. Something wrong with 131? Cleared cache, no extensions used on 131.

In ver. 131, the scroll works after hitting page fit and page fill, but you have to do that endlessly. The problem is somewhat intermittent, several pages may then scroll normally, then scroll stops working again, then back to page fit and page fill buttons. There are no error messages.
