I use Firefox browser and dogpile search engine. Dogpile opens but search results are blocked, Message is content blocker or privacy extension could be the problem. I have not made any changes to my desktop machine since I last used dogpile a couple of days ago. Dogpile works ok on my phone. What can I do to restore dogpile search results?

I have been a happy Firefox user for decades but I am about to junk it. Why? I keep my profiles on a separate external drive. That way I can just go from my laptop to my desktop and leave off where I was. I also don't take up GGGBytes on my default hard drive. However, Firefox knows better. Use "Profiles - Manage Profiles" or restore a profile from a backup, and all of my precious profile is lost and put in a random folder on my hard drive, exactly what I DO NOT WANT. Then there is the "Can’t delete a profile that is linked to other profiles" nonsense ... Please let ME decide how to run my profiles. I don't want to dig into Firefox code, I don't want to become the world's expert on how and where it keeps my passwords. I just want it to work.

I have not installed any new software. I have no backups or mozilla login. I've always used a single profile. My passwords disappeared from the browser. On checking the profile folder, I noticed that the key4.db file an logins file existed. So there is a reading or encryption or other problem. The logins file has data in it. LLMs told me that it was a different encryption because of a mozilla update. what do i do

I just need to find my grouped tabs while using verticle tab mode...

Normally when the tabs are horizontal there is a drop down arrow.

Switch it to verticle, andf no matter where any AI has told me to click and look for them the answers have been wrong, and when searching the support center directed me to a bunch of useless articles, the top one was literally "Use AI group naming for your tabs" or w/e.

Please tell me this is a thing, or honestly Ill go back to Chrome. They've got everything on me by now anyways.

I need to reconfigure my wifi range extender, and I have just now discovered you have removed the "Accept & continue" button in the "Secured connection failed" error screen . Now I am left with no way to reconfigure it and browse on my home internet. Is there a solution to this? How am I supposed to work? I'm in Uni rn and this is really disruptive

Again this does not happen with DuckDuckGo or Grave browers. When I click on Firefox I now have to click on I'm not a robot and fill out the picture selection forms to get into Firefox. How can I stop this obnoxious happening?

I have found now a couple of times over the past month or so that I am blocked from accessing some websites. It has turned out that when i use Whatismyip or some other similar service, my IP address is incorrect. In one instance it had me in Germany and just now it had me in Dallas, Texas. I am actually in Mexico.

My first thought was that maybe it was an issue with my ISP, but it's not that. I can get a correct IP lookup if I use Chrome, but it's only when i use Firefox the IP address and location (even country!) is wrong.

I have the native FF VPN extension installed but not turned on. I also have Windscribe extension installed but not turned on. I very rarely use either of those VPNs (maybe 4 or 5 times a year). This is after a fresh reboot, so no "holdover" from a previous use of any VPN.

Anybody else seeing this behaviour, or have an idea how to fix it?

I allowed the current update yesterday, and am now unable to use a right mouse click to copy/paste text or links. I have looked through the settings, but do not see anything pertaining to the actions taken with the mouse at this level of granularity. I note that this is not a global change on my system, as right click for cut/copy/paste is still available in my editor and terminal. I would provide a screenshot, but the dialog box refuses to stay open when I try for a screenshot.

What I get now after I accessed it just a few minutes before is a message that says "Windows 10 reached EOS (end of support) on October 14, 2025. If you are on Window 10, see this article." I have been on Windows 11 for over six months. Why am I getting this message, and why can't I get on this website when I was just on it a few minutes ago?

I have a website that I frequent, and when I would hover my cursor over a heading within that site, a selection of destinations would display. However, that capability has disappeared sometime during the last few upgrades to Firefox. However, I am still able to use that feature in Chrome and Edge, any suggestions? Thank you.

I read an article recently about 'session hijacking' and decided that every time I quit Firefox, I wanted to delete cookies & clear site data as well as browsing history.

However I wanted to know if it's possible to do that as well as all open tabs to be persist & be reopened through the quit and restart cycles (albeit logged out if it's website where I was logged in) but I can't get it to work as there appears to be a contradiction in all these options.

FF 159.0 macOS 10.15.8 Catalina (yes, ancient os I know) using the extension Tree Style Tab

I've been adding exceptions for some websites Privacy and security > Browsing data > Manage exceptions & History > Customise history > Choose what you want Firefox to remember > Advanced settings > Manage exceptions.

Home and startup > Startup > Open previous windows and tabs is checked but must be overridden by the other options.

Any advice on what settings will achieve what I want or even if it's possible? TIA
