So I'm new to Firefox, and I added some shortcuts to the main tab, using the "+" button. But then after a few minutes it disappeared, when I wanted to add more. I set 4 rows of shortcuts and I have a lot of space left for them. What do I do to bring this button back? I tried deleting a shortcut but it didn't appear.

At the present moment Firefox prevents my screen saver from starting when a video is playing in the browser. I would like to completely disable this ability so that Firefox can never interfere with the screen saver.

How can I do this?

05/20/2025 twitch streams stopped working, image disappeared, sound is there. Also working videos that are on twitch, not streaming. In windows 10 everything works.

I want to turn off a recently added search bar icon in the new version of the newest version of firefox ? I only use google and don't have other search functions enabled but i dont like seeing this icon that suddenly appeared without warning ?

It is too distracting.

I have noticed that Firefox has been getting too many updates recently...even as much as 2 updates this week alone. Frankly i'm sick of getting the green icons and pop-ups in the upper right corner. Is there a way in about:blank codes to turn off these stealth downloading behaviour and prompt pop-ups to restart the browser and let me just manually do it in settings when i want to but without notifications ?

I have been receiving a link to reset my password for an app usually it signs me in. When I push the link when they send me the email link to change my password it doesn't go through it is supposed to work with Google.

  When I go on bj's site and click on the department  I want and click on an item A pop up keeps saying this page is slowing down your browser click stop to get a better experience. I never had that problem before,how do I fix that?

I have noticed Firefox is ignoring the max_pages and transient max_pages settings, both set to 999999 and still deleting browsing history after 2-3 months here.

What can be done? Is there a way to get the developers to fix this so it stops deleting, ideally by adding a boolean setting?
