Is it a bug? Is there a way to turn it off? It's too easy for me to accidentally close a tab this way. I cannot reproduce in Troubleshoot Mode but I can't find any setting or installed extension that seems to control it.

I can not seem to find the button to open a saved, closed tab group. I have googled, and there seems to be a lot of people with the same issue. However, None of the information given under those forums provides me with a clear, easy solution. Please help.

In Firefox 152.0.5 under Windows 10, when I hover the mouse pointer over a tab, a balloon pops up showing the text that is on the tab. I find this extremely annoying as I can read what is on the tab. I have searched on the Mozilla site, and I have searched with Google, all to no avail. How can I disable those redundant popup balloons?

Firefox opens as it should but it opens with two additional tabs showing. How do I prevent this. What setting/s do I manipulate to prevent opening multiple tabs on start up? windows 11 / HP Omnibook, new purchase initial set up of FireFox.

I have grouped several tabs, I believe there were 3 groups in total. When I close Firefox and open it again at a later time, the grouped tabs are gone, but I was able to retrieve the groups by right clicking and selecting the hidden group.

Ever since the new update, the groups dissolve when I close Firefox and I can not open them again. The Edge Browser has it implemented such that groups stay, so when you close and open the browser, they stay greyed out on the side bar.

So, is this just a problem with my device, the new update or Firefox in general?

It would be really nice if this problem could be solved, such that I can keep groups even after closing the browser. And I can delete groups only when I want to.

Last night Firefox on my laptop performed an automatic Firefox update.. The Firefox that was installed can only display a single tab. This is a major for me, since I normally work with multiple tabs. This problem may impact a large number of Firefox users. The documented recommended fix for this problem did not fix the problem.

My last automatic upgrade to Firefox installed a version of Firefox that allows only 1 tab.. This is very frustrating. I need multiple tabs. I searched for solutions, but have not been able to fix the problem. I have used Firefox for over 10 years. Please help change Firefox to support multiple tabs, or I am going to have to find an alternative to Firefox. Having multiple tabs is critical to me.

7/7/2026 Last night Firefox on my laptop performed an automatic update to the latest Firefox version. The new Firefox has a very bad setting in about;config .. this new Firefox can only show 1 tab ... it is opening up a new tab on top of the first tab, making it impossible to have more than 1 tab ..

This is going cause problems for thousands of Firefox users .. . how I fix this problem ... I tried setting the add tab settings into about;config to add a new tab to the right of the current tab, but my change made no difference ... how can I fix this problem ... does Firefox have a plan on how to fix for this problem for thousands of Firefox users.. this problem will impact thousands of Firefox users..

In the past, when I would click on a link on my home page, the link would open in a new tab, but I would stay on my home page so that I could look at the opened link later. Now when I click on a link on my home page, it doesn’t open in a new tab, but rather opens the link in the same tab that I was viewing my home page on. I have checked my settings, and everything appears to be how I want it. I believe that the "Open links from apps next to your active tab" is the setting that should accomplish what I want. I do have it checked, and yet it won't open my links in a new tab. How do I get links to open in a new tab?

When I start my computer I want my "startup" tabs to open in the order I want; [app.Inbox.com, AOL.com, mail.google.com (xxx00xxx@gmail.com), mail.google.com (xxxxxx00@gmail.com)]. ALSO ‘sometimes’ at startup TWO tabs for app.Inbox.com appear and I don't want that.

Up until today, when I double-clicked a message in the Inbox, it opened the message in a new tab, and focused that tab so I could read the message. Now it creates the tab, but I have to click on that tab to see the message. (I do not want the preview pane, either). I run 150.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11.

I changed the setting to open it in a new window. That had no effect.

I have horizontal tabs in Firefox 152.0.4 on a Macbook with Tahoe 26.5.1. My tabs have suddenly reversed order, so that the most recent ones are at the left and the older ones towards the right. Strangely, if I open a new tab it appears to the right of the current tab. I tried closing Firefox and reopening, but it did not change anything. Is there a way to restore usual order of tabs so that the newer ones are at the right?

When using a tab inside a collapsed tab group, if "open link in new tab" option is used, the tab group expands unprompted. As a result I have to keep collapsing the tab group again and again and again, slowing down the browsing experience. Is there a fix for it?
