Every time I update my drivers for Nvidia it of course reloads the screens. This causes all the tabs in Firefox to become separated on the Windows 11 taskbar. In other words, it looks like I have a new firefox window open for each tab (which I'm assuming is how it works but it's hidden most of the time).

It's not a HUGE deal per se, but it is kind of annoying. I have to close then reopen Firefox.

Like seeekerman who initiated the now-closed discussion at: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1433369, I have used Firefox since its first release. With one exception - open image in new tab - I never use tabs. I want all the usable vertical space I can get.

For some time, Firefox on Windows (Windows 11, FF 143.0.4) has been showing a tab bar under the menu items, and above the bar with the URL etc.

How can I hide this when the FF window has only one tab, which is almost all the time for me?

The solution provided to seeekerman in that discussion, on 2023-12-08, was to create a userChrome.css file with some special incantations. I tried this it did not work.

Hello, I wanted to create a script that doesn't allow me to disable a certain extension. For that I thought to locate the file in which the states of extensions are put. I searched online, and the answer appears to be that such file is available in extensions folder in my profile. However, I am unable to find extensions folder under my profile.

Hi, can the function mention above be remove or flag off somehow? For me watching icon is already enough. cause when hover the side of the website to navigate accidentally expand the sidebar and in some time is just expand many times probably due to a bug.

My father used my computer and synced all of his firefox “stuff”, i need to get rid of all of it.

I tried to log in, but came across a message that told me it would just merge with his stuff. I would like his bookmarks and passwords gone so that only mine occupy the browser.

Does Firefox support webAuthn passkeys stored by the browser? I have an app that I am working on and I would like to be able to use this feature.

If Firefox cannot store passkeys can you explain why this has not been added?

Hi Folks, Recently I have been having an issue with accessing a particular website which is asus.com and the nature of the issue is as follows. Every time I attempt to login I receive the following error message.

The browser could not find the host server for the provided address.

   "Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your device’s data or Wi-Fi connection."

It should be noted that this is the only website that I am having this issue any and all assistance in resolving this extremely annoying issue will be greatly appreciated

Firefox used to close completely when I close the last tab. The last update broke that behavior. How can I get it back the way it was? This new behavior is sick!!!

I used to be able to clear all data with no problem, but now it's holding to Gmail login data (I think that's the problem, anyway). I clear all data after each browsing session and have been doing so for a long time, but it's not working anymore. But it is working on my husband's laptop and we're on the same version of Windows (11) and have the same settings. Can someone please assist in figuring out what's happening behind the scenes? I have 2 machines (Win10 and Win11) with FF 140.3.1esr (32-bit) installed which demonstrates the same failure when I enter one site's url:

PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

Chrome at the same machines goes at this url w/o any failures. Any ideas what to change on "about:config" in FF to allow it opening this url w/o such error?

For some reason, all my text has been showing up as bold on my Firefox web browser. However, the same sites do not appear as bold on the mobile Firefox app or in a private Firefox web browser.

While I thought it applied to many different fonts, it seems to specifically target Roboto. This is especially troublesome because my photography website has all body text as Roboto:

This was not always the case, but one day everything began appearing bold several weeks ago. Text that is italicized seems to stay in italics and not bold.

When I do "save as " action for an image in the browser it opens dialogue window to save selected image. Unfortunately it displays files and folders in some random order, rather than my preferred order (sorted alphabetically by name, followed by sorting by type).

I can see no rhyme or reason to the way Firefox lists files and folders in the dialogue window, so every time I am saving an image I have to sort things by name and type before I can find what I want.

This is not permanent so I have to repeat this action every time I save an image.

How do I, please set application preferences? to make this setting permanent?

Firefox declare to be aware of privacy but as soon as I use Firefox to go on the internet, I immediately get connections from these 2 addresses : 34.107.243.93 34.107.221.82 in addition to the address of the site I connect to.

And sometimes, I receive so many connection attempts on ports that are not implied in the connection I have established with the initial site (conntrack) that I am obliged to disconnect the network. This does not happen with other browsers like Konqueror, Falcon, etc. I suffered an attack in this way in the past with heavy consequences. Is there a way to configure Firefox in order to suppress it ?
