Hi,

Long story short, due to a boot up error loop, i was forced to reinstall windows.

I have done this before and after logging into my Firefox account, everything synced. This time however, it did not work. All my Book Marks, Passwords etc are gone. I really need those back.

If anyone can assist i will greatly appreciated.

I cleared all history from my browser history and no I can not get pages to load. Or if they do open, I am unable to click on any section. The only exception is that Firefox seems to work normally if I use Private Browsing.

Before I can even get on my computer, I can see Notifications for Firefox. I use my password to login to my desktop computer and the Notification in the upper right hand corner are there for a few seconds more, then they disappear. I do NOT know where to see them again and I truly would like for this activity to stop. Where do I find Notifications after I launch Firefox (my preferred browser and the ONLY browser I use) to see what the notifications have to say, and how can I disable Notifications?

I was trying to set up Mullvad but upon reaching the settings where "DNS over HTTPS" once was I noticed it was gone, how can I change provider now without the option too?

I just installed a new TP Link router. Initially I was able to log in fine to http://tplinkwifi.net Later that night and today I try to access that URL again, and I either get a Not Found, or a different page that gives me hints on how to access the page I am looking for which is the page to control my router settings from. If I try to login with Chrome or Edge everything works fine. I have cleared my cache, history, etc. and it still doesn't work.

Now today I am trying to login to a hospital website and it also does not work even though in the past it was worked just fine. Again Chrome works just fine.

Any ideas?

Hi, Can I choose what short cuts are displayed?

Right now it looks like FireFox is putting the most recent visits there  i.e It displays 4 different icons of Wordpress.[I was working on  my blog] Prior versions let me choose which ones  I wanted and they stayed on the page. For example I had short cuts to my emails and bank along with Facebook, Wordpress etc. I was/am using the one row choice. i tried using the recent activity choice but only 2 showed up even though I had viewed several sites.  I *think* I am using the latest version.

Please attribute the poor performance - the unresolved tabs, i.e. appearing blank - to something specific. The blank tabs phenomenon just occurred for the first time 2 or 3 days ago. I found 1 of the unresolved urls in bookmarks, which was lucky, as I no longer actively populate bookmarks.

The other ghost tabs I just deleted since I couldn't remember the urls.

The ghosts were in the pinned tab area.

I got the notification that there was an update available...clicked on about Firefox and it is trying to download a new browser at 90mb...why is this and how do I get it to stop???

Hi - After taking the suggestion to re-install a fresh copy of FF, I keep getting something to the effect that the FF profile is missing. After spending too many hours trying all the leads provided online, and not being too familiar with some terminology, I am bewildered. Instead of a simple set of instructions, I am tasked with deleting something. Wha?? I don't wish to delete something, I simply would like to dump the contents of the old data file that appeared when I re-installed F back, and be rid of the nag. Had I had been warned that this problem would occur, I would never have re-installed FF. I wound up with something that contradicts its premise; delete what? The title to Restore FF Profile is misleading. Logically, here should be a link to click on to re-install the old files, or better yet, they should have been installed automatically. The file folder raises the question, why even have it? It's useless. If it had a list of extensions that were deleted, it would be helpful. Luckily, I hand copied the extensions, recalling that many years ago, they disappeared down the rabbit hole, never to be seen again I apologize for being ungrateful, as FF and the work done by volunteers is most appreciated. but wasting what little time I have here on earth is not good for the psyche. If there is a simple, understandable solution, it would be most appreciated. Thank you, Nick M.

I can no longer 'Select all' of a simple html table displayed in the browser. The header lines won't select no matter what I try. The browser only allows the body lines to be selected, and subsequently copyied.

not talking about settings smooth scroll. I have it disabled. but with the new update when clicking in the scrollbar, it has smooth animation and scrolls 10 times slower. fix it.

When I pick on bookmarks at the top left and it drops down there is recent tags and recently bookmarked, this is on laptop 1 with windows 10. When I am on my newest laptop windows 11, I do not see the recent tags and recently bookmarked. Is this something under settings?
