What information that I can supply would be useful to help resolve the problem? I have seen the problem on both my old (ancient) Windows 10 desktop and new Windows 11 desktop. I have seen it on my Windows 11 desktop on version 129.0.2 and 130.0. I saw it first on the Windows 11 desktop as I am spending my time setting it up. But recently saw it on the Windows 10 desktop on 129.0.2. When I hover on a tab it highlights the tab (background lightens); but NO description or preview appears.

It works on both PCs when I first start Firefox.

Is there a functionality to view Tabs Side-by-Side, or Vertical yet? Or is there a plan for it; similar to the recent version of Edge Chromium? I have read several questions; and their work-around solutions of using a side bar or sing two windows and arranging them side-by-side. Neither functionality offers synchronized scrolling. I used Tile Tabs or We Tabs add-on in the past which was great.

Version: Firefox 129 Ubuntu/Debian I'm using the Proton theme in Firefox and would like to revert the tabs to their previous, non-floating style. I've tried using the [profile]/chrome/userChrome.css method and enabling toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets, but this hasn't worked. Is there another way to achieve this? Thanks for your help in advance!

Changing Default Behavior (CSS)

When I'm reading on a computer screen, I hatehatehatedespisehatehatehate "widow and orphan" control. This is especially annoying when reading a long narrative passage that reflows so that a break (often a blank paragraph) falls at the bottom or top of a column/page. There are two relevant CSS properties, each taking a nonzero positive integer as an argument:

    widows: [number of lines]
    orphans: [number of lines]

It appears that Firefox has (like most browsers) established a "default" value of 2 in each of these parameters, which seldom appear in site-specific stylesheets. Do Not Want.

Is there a way to change this default behavior to the equivalent of:

    body {
         widows: 1;
         orphans: 1;}

without either (a) breaking anything or (b) having to redo whatever change every time there's a Firefox update?

Got a number of devices with Firefox installed, all of them Firefox Sync'ed. Most of them on rapid release version cycle and a couple of them on ESR.

When https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/website-translation it provided a clean way to browse entire pages automatically translated. Problem is that the translate option is not there.

I'm at work right now on ESR 115.15.0 / Windows 10 64-bit and no translate icon appears on the address bar when checking German or French or Japanese sites (for example). Comparing my own browser settings to another, non-ESR FF it seems that on ESR something is missing. There is only a reference "Firefox Translations" and a "Exceptions" button to it. Check the attached image.

Can't tell if this is a bug or a feature (ie ESR lacks Firefox translate).

Google says they have a Cherokee/English Mozilla Firefox Translator add-on. I grew up on the Cherokee Nation 60 years ago and sometimes I forget a word. Where can I find this add-on for Firefox? The one answer I got from a volunteer was to visit the "Firefox store. I could not find the store either.

I don't use severe settings, but X.com is most of the time blocked.

I can view X.com in Troubleshoot mode.

Winnowing all the apps would take a very long time as I use several dozen add-ons.

Normally I need to view X.com using Private window.
