Tried to download Firefox onto my android mobile, but it kept saying I have to get the app from google.

Due to my ‘thing’ about internet security, I will not use google at any price!

Can you direct me to where I might get the app elsewhere, please?

I have tried all the suggestions clear cache, restart, refresh, turned off extensions etc. but these have not resolved the issue, also this has only started happening within the last couple of weeks.

I am able to sign into Hotmail via other browsers.

I've been searching for three days now for a solution that will work to restore my profile from a crashed windows-7 machine to my new windows-11. Nothing listed in any forum or help desk works as described. I used to be able to just rename the folder to the exact file name on the new PC, but windows 11 won't let me do anything. It always needs admin permissions and even after I activated the admin account and assigned a password, I still cannot copy to the folder or rename the folder. Every attempt to do this on W-11 fails. It shouldn't be that hard and I'm tired of wasting days playing with this. I have important bookmarks, passwords etc. I want restored, and I need help. Nobody wants to pick up a phone anymore to assist!

I have never used "sync" because I have multiple PCs and each used for different applications and yes some go back to W-7, the operating system that actually worked well. Each PC has Firefox and a distinct bookmark file.

I went to "about:profiles" and created a new profile thinking I could copy to the new folder, but when i switched profiles I couldn't get back to the original default! HELP!

I've tuned in to Firefox this morning to find that I'm kind of shut out, no access to my usual apps, and required to enact some difficult backing up etc. When I explore, it seems to relate to Windows 10 losing its backup from Microsoft. But I'm running Windows 11, not 10. What's going on? Is this legitimate? If so, why is it complicated and why wasn't it forewarned (by Firefox)?

I have been having trouble with my Windows 11 laptop. In my efforts to resolve these issues I noticed that I now have two installs of Firefox in my Control Panel. Both installed during my time of dealing with my Windows issue. Five days apart Feb 5 and 10, 2026. Both show the same version number 147.0.3, and same size 322MB. I have used FF for many years so these seem to have been installed sometime during my efforts to repair Windows. My FF was never a part of the Windows issue AFAIK.

Anyway I have FF working as I like with my Session Manager and various AddOns and personal settings, so I do not want to have to start over with FF. So how do I choose which instance of FF to uninstall in Control Panel?

My issue with Windows was my Outlook would not connect to the server. I assume Microsoft Exchange server, my internet connectivity was fine. And FF was fne as well. I eventually was able to repair my M365 connectivity. Major PITA from out of nowhere.

firefox on mac seems entirely broken.

in about:profiles I see 1 profile (with custom name). after restart the profile is still there, but all settings lost( Passwords, links, addons )

the same as happened before: I restarted the computer for update. than there were multiple profiles in about data. i got cunfused an in the end i deleted firefox entirely and reinstalled.

YouTube videos are choppy in Firefox, despite trying solutions like clearing the cache, disabling hardware acceleration, and using Safe Mode. I’m using Windows 10 with the latest version of Firefox. What can I do to resolve this?"

Firefox updated automatically overnight, all bookmarks vanished. Toolbar bookmarks, gone. History information disappeared two weeks ago. Library box is now gone, too! Windows 11. Firefox version 147.0.3 64-bit

Settings that I've tried to change so far and that didn't help: Hardware acceleration - disable dom.event.clipboardevents.enabled webgl.all-angle-options webgl.enable-privileged-extensions webgl.force-enabled

Have no any issues with pasting and maps in Edge browser

hi there, I'm using FF147.0.3 on a windows 11 version 25H2 laptop. I use google as my default search engine. When I open a new tab the google search page opens as usual. But now all of a sudden as soon as I start typing, search suggestions are appearing in the address box and not in the main google search page bar.

I've tried "settings-search-address bar" and turned off all features but that had no effect on the problem. I've reset the laptop several times but the issue still remains.

This problem is really annoying so any help would be great. Cheers Jeff

Hallo Seit meheren Tagen kann Hotmail über Firefox nicht abgerufen werden. Auf mehreren Rechner getestet--ohne Erfolg. Über EDGE funktioniert es ohne Probleme. Firefox einmel gelöscht und neu installiert, immer wieder kein Login zu Hotmail möglich.

I recall that Firefox used to log-in automatically to websites that require a user name and/or password. This helpful feature seems to have been removed, even for sites that are listed in the "Passwords" display. How can I get it back?
