Suddenly this morning, a new toolbar appeared on my copy of Firefox (131.0) showing one item, Getting Started, which I have no use for. I managed to delete it and it was replaced with something telling me to place my bookmarks here on the bookmarks toolbar, which I also don't want. How do I get rid of it as it's nothing else for me but a waste of screen real estate?

I few minutes ago, I was signed in to my google email and other accounts and needed to log out. Now, when I try to re-sign-in, I can no longer access the google/gmail sign in page, I get directed to the "Clear cache" page. I've cleared my cache and cookies a number of times, restarted the computer and firefox (my firefox is up to date). I contacted google; they say the issue is with firefox. Everything was working fine an hour ago, but now I'm shut out? I can access the sign in page if I open the page in a "private" browser window. Anyone else having this issue? Any help?

I am writing to propose adding Kagi as a default search engine option in Firefox. As a Firefox user, I believe Kagi's mission aligns well with Firefox's values and would be a positive addition for your users.

Key points: - Kagi is a privacy-focused, ad-free search engine - Its mission is to provide high-quality search results without tracking users or relying on advertising revenue - This aligns with Firefox's emphasis on privacy and giving users control of their data - Including Kagi would offer Firefox users an alternative to ad-supported search engines - It would demonstrate Firefox's commitment to promoting innovative, user-first web services

Could you please advise on the process for proposing a new default search engine? I would be happy to provide any additional information to assist in your evaluation of Kagi.

Thank you for your consideration. Looking forward ot hearing your thoughts.

Lately most times when Firefox updates it wipes my tabs and I have to rebuild them because backing up the tabs won't work so I got in the habit of going to bookmarks and reloading them from there. Today it not only won't automatically open my tabs but won't let me even load most hand selected tabs. I have been using Mozilla, Netscape Navigator since the early days with no other problems except this. I have been using Avast Premium Security on windows 10 and it reports no problems. I will have to check one of my Linux machines because Firefox won't open the tab for Hotmail. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi!

I am used to Firefox with multiple tabs and occasionally, I need private windows of Firefox due to reloading of websites, etc.

Each time I close my Firefox non-private window whilst the private one is still open (mostly by mistake), I lose my browser session with multiple tab completely. Also the recovery-mechanisms I found in the documentation database don't work.

Anyway, I wouldn't want to recover my sessions, I'd rather like Firefox not to behave that way. It is possible to enhance Firefox in such a way that it does NOT forget its sessions if the user closes a private window after the main non-private one has already been closed?

Thanks in advance, Dennis

I'm using Firefox version 130.0.1 but the frequent updates are becoming annoying. Since I've been keeping a log it has updated on 13 Aug., 14 Aug. (with restart), 21 Aug., 26 Aug. (with restart) 6 Sep. 8 Sep. (with restart) 9 Sep. and 22 Sep. (with restart). As we know if an update isn't installed a nag screen continually pops up. Should it be updating this often?

I've tried these extensions:

Don't Accept Image/Webp Image Forcer Webp/Avif converter Save webP as PNG or JPEG (Converter)

They no longer work. Now, Firefox is determined to save images as webp. Researching this problem has turned up a bunch of people saying it's not Firefox doing it, but Opera does not do this. I have always done my work on Firefox and am wondering if there's any way to prevent this or if I just need to transfer all my work over to Opera and be done with Firefox.

imac A just had OS catalina installed and firefox is shown as up to date running v 115.15. However, while it loads the apple tv website the site remains unresponsive to input.

imac B is runnning OS Sonoma and firefox is shown as up to date running v 130.01. There is no problem with the apple tv site, which responds to input.

So: why can't I update firefox to the latest version on imac A and why is the apple tv website unresponsive when it works on imac B running an older OS?

In recent weeks when I open my Macbook and go to https://meet.google.com, the page that loads says "404. That’s an error. The requested URL was not found on this server. That’s all we know." The issue is only on Firefox and not Chrome or Safari. When I see the error page, I look at the URL and it has the word "unsupported": https://meet.google.com/unsupported?meetingCode=landing&ref=https://meet.google.com/landing

So I dragged firefox to the trash, reinstalled and the issue persisted. I do not have a VPN. I'm using my own Wifi at home. If I switch to my desktop computer (m2 mac ultra) and go to the same Google Meet URL, I don't get a 404 error on firefox, however no one can hear my microphone any more as of 1 month ago, when I didn't have this issue in the past and I've done everything that everyone has told me to (in order to fix it) and nothing has worked.

Please, I would like to know how to solve this problem.

The external user uploaded a PDF file of version 1.7 to the system, but our system does not display this PDF in Firefox, it just displays a blank page. In Chrome and Edge the file appears correctly.

Does anyone know what it could be? And how can I solve this problem, so that this incompatibility is resolved in Firefox?

Do I need to change or add anything related to JavaScript in the .tpl?

Thank you

I identified the PDF versions, but I don’t know how to act to resolve this impasse.
