In Firefox 158, swiping left or right with two fingers to go back/forward between pages now has a haptic feedback and sound using a trackpad. This is INCREDIBLY annoying and completely unnecessary, I spent 30 minutes looking up Macbook help because I thought my trackpad was broken. Please allow us to disable this, it is so annoying to have the trackpad making noise so frequently. This is not a "get used to a new feature" type of sound, this is a "I will stop using Firefox entirely because of how annoying it is" sound. There is no benefit to this noise, swiping left/right to navigate back/forward doesn't need additional haptic feedback because you can visually see the browser go back or forward. I can't believe this design choice got past QA, it becomes annoying and intrusive the first time you use it, let alone the 10-15 times a minute it happens when browsing normally.
