Firefox quit opening a new tab when I open a new tab. This overwrites the page I was on. I have to open the history to try and find where I was. This is very frustrating and a waste of time. It stated recently.

I have downloaded Firefox browser and used it on my other Mac. Firefox says than you for downloading, but I cannot find Firefox.dgm anywhere. What's happening. Both of my Macs are same

How do l get rid of yahoo which has taken over my laptop after trying to get flight tracking last week? I have always hated it and it is stopping me searching with Firefox. I am old & not too tech savvy.

Given the frequency of computer scams, I have not gone to any of the websites mentioned. How do I remove this from my computer, whether it is a scam or not? I have been using Apple Safari as my search engine in the interim

When I go to the first page of a site no problems. At the second page an ad pops out from either the R or L side of the screen. I have scanned with my virus protection (PC Matic) and have also run a scan on Malwarebytes but nothing was flagged. What would be the suggestions as to do next? [redacted email]

So normally firefox uses a reasonable amount of ram but sometimes the amount of ram usage almost doubles, then if I try to change tabs the program freezes. I then have to wait for firefox to stop using the excess of ram and return back to normal levels.

I believe this mainly happens when I have youtube or reddit open but I have no idea how to fix this.

I have already tried reinstalling firefox and deleting/changing extensions. The current extension i have on is adguard adblocker and no others.

I am trying to login to my healthcare website and it will not login if the cookies from the previous login are present. Workaround is to delete the site's cookies from Settings-> Privacy and Security-> Clear data for Specific Sites. I have tried Settings-> Privacy and Security->Manage exceptions->Block but it does not work. The cookies are allowed and they again prevent Login.

how ... do I turn off enhanced tracking protection because it's breaking everything? I need my security and this is actively preventing me from acquiring the necessary security apps and accounts I need. This is actively making me less safe. It also won't let me get a different browser

Are ALT + Z and ALT + X built-in keyboard shortcuts?

I forgot whether I updated to version 153 or 154. After that, pressing ALT + Z goes to the previous tab, and ALT + X goes to the next tab.

I can't find this information in Firefox's keyboard shortcut manual. I also tried enabling Firefox Safe Mode (no themes, no plugins), but these two keyboard shortcuts still work, which is strange.

So I'd like to ask everyone to test if this is the case? Because I originally had these two keyboard shortcuts configured in the app, but now they're not working.

Too many updates. Sometimes two or three in a week.

I've added my Firefox to a new computer and signed into my account. Cannot find my bookmarks. The only option I see is to import them from another browser (which does not have them). How can I retrieve them?

I share my Sync account across 1 Android + 3 desktop devices (Win 10 or 11). So far no problems. A few days ago all the devices started dropping out of Sync.

I would say this all started with the Android device (v.153), which seems to have logged out of the account on its own. After reconnecting it, all the desktop devices went nuts...

1) desktop machines will need to reconnect to Mozilla account every time FF is launched 2) about:logins is always empty, even after logging back in and completing a sync routine 3) even when it states "Account disconnected" - "Sync is off", they will still receive tabs sent from the Android device; they can't send tabs as they won't see the other devices. Also, even while disconnected, they were able to add a new bookmark to the account. So, account is not actually fully disconnected... only some parts of Sync are.

Another symptom. Account's Connected Services list is clean and up to date (see images). Account recognizes new logins as already known hardware and avoids doubling them. But in Sync there's a mess of instances... all new attempts are seen as a new device. Many of these are of course dead links, as the latest login overwrites previous ones.

This happened while desktops were updating to v.154, but I wouldn't say it's related to that, as two of those machines also run a different Mozilla account on a second profile, and so far that account is not misbehaving.

The Android device also got disconnected a few more times, but now it seems more stable than its siblings, and the passwords are still accessible (as as you can see in the pics, it's not showing as a doubled Sync device).

I didn't try signing off all devices because I'm worried I won't be able to get back in... anyway, manually signing off a single one didn't change anything.

It seems to me this is a server-side issue. Is there a way to "refresh" the account without losing all data? Thank you
