after many hours of Google search and trying many changes in the "about:config" section im done with things to try so my last chance is here.

The problem i have is that videos dont play if i mouseover the firefox window or tab i.E. on the windows taskbar. The video will only start to play if i click on the window/tab and that window/tab is the "active" one im looking at.

It worked fine before but some firefox update f***ed this up (and yes the official firefox updates are the only thing that changed), no i dont know which update it was because i didnt recognize the problem right away.

The autoplay option is set to allow media and audio.

The weird thing is that when i open a video in the vlc player and do the mouseover, everything works just fine. So my conclusion is that some setting was messed up on the new firefox version.

Some data of my pc, everything is updated: - Windows 11 Pro - CPU is AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 3,4GHz - GPU is AMD Radeon RX 7900XT - RAM is 32GB DDR4 CL16 - Internet is wired connection with 250K speed - Firefox Version is 137.0.1

I use tiling for my windows. After minimizing and then restoring the windows, the tab bar is no longer displayed. If I don't tile the windows, this error doesn't occur. I'm using the latest version of Mint Cinnamon. This error also occurred in debug mode.

Good afternoon. Can I disable this default option “Keep messages for this account on this computer”? I installed thunderbird on a terminal server. I configured autoconfig. I want the user to enter only email and password, and mailbox is configured but only email headers are downloaded. I found on github policy-templates, but it doesn't have this option.

I successfully subscribed to an online .ics file but I found the resulting calendar entries inadequate and I want to unsubscribe but I can't figure out how to do that. I've tried searching for instructions but haven't found any.

Some extensions, like Bitwarden or Notes, seem to have added their own shortcut icons between the settings cog and the other functions below the tabs, with seemingly no way to remove them? I already have them in my regular toolbar / extension overflow, which has much more space available, so I don't see the point of why there's duplicate ones in the sidebar taking away tab space?

Every night Firefox closes all then it closes erasing all tabs!! In the moring I have to start it, then I have reopen all the tabs I need do my work. What setting is to stop this from happening?

Please give the option to have vertical tabs and sidebar functionality split into two seperate things. Much like with Edge and Vivaldi, we should be able to have vertical tabs on the left of the browser, with the sidebar on the right.

We should also be able to open any website in mobile view with the sidebar, again replicating the functionality of Edge and Vivaldi

I need to stop Firefox from reordering my tabs. Apparently it puts the last used one at the rightmost place. I DO NOT WANT OR NEED THIS.

How can I stop this behavior?

Use to be able to use the Ctrl-D to save bookmarks, but for a while this doesn't work any longer. The work around is to open manage bookmarks, add a bookmark, it works, but gets tedious. Read the article on cannot add bookmarks.

There were multiple copies of places.sqlite with variations and two with the current date. Selected one of the two with the current date, opened to properties, the read-only was not checked already.

Found xulstore.json and deleted file.

Opened Firefox, all the bookmarks were gone, imported bookmarks, passwords, etc. from Chrome which I was also using.

After that, Ctrl-D to save bookmark still wouldn't work. Now I will try deleting Firefox and residual files in hopes of a fresh clean copy of Firefox that would work as intended.

I found social media sites wouldn't work under standard or strict setting: x.com, bsky.app, mastodon.social, linkedin.com. Facebook does work under strict setting.

I have another laptop, and no such issue with Firefox. I really liked and use firefox for many years. Recently other issues had been with cloudnet unable to verify caused me to switch to Chrome, but I'm hoping this next step of re-installating firefox would fix the issue I'm currently having.

but I can't see this option in my Setttings. I have already verified I have telemetry and studies enabled.

I am also running the latest Firefox version. Can you please assist?
