Firefox 120 is freezing my Android 11 phone when I start typing on the search bar (weirdly it start to happens when a space is inserted). It freezes so hard that pretty much it takes 30-min to 1 hour for the phone to restart or the battery to drain.
Reverting to 119.1.1 solves the problem immediately.
My guess would be that maybe the search bar or the suggestion related code introduced something weird, as I do have a lot of bookmarks. Nevertheless, it's definitely a new issue (been using Firefox mobile since first day around 2010) and introduced in 120.0.
Since the phone is hard freezing, I can't even connect in ADB and try to see any message hinting at what's wrong. If there's a crash trace maybe some info could be dug there.

I have not found any reason for this or any way to stop this, other than to not set FF as the default browser. Does anyone have any insight into this problem? This has been going on for many months now, on different devices. My current device is the Pixel 8 Pro. Since a few weeks, the app has been draining my battery like crazy. We're talking about higher energy consume than games, and with less screen-on time. I'm using a Pixel 7 pro, Firefox since I got it, and never had this issues until now. I was forced to uninstall it as ir was unbearable to use my phone and having it die several hours before it used to. After that I installed Chrome, which is not famous for being battery friendly, and the problems are completely gone.
I keep my apps ALWAYS up to date with updates, así well as my phone, so I'm sure the issue has something to do with Firefox app.

I meet such a problem, as I would get an unexpected huge blank pages gap inserted in PDF files when I use the “save as PDF” function. Moreover, it isn't inserted between paragraphs but it devides a very sentence, thus I suppose this problem might not be caused by webpage editors' editing error. Today I did some grocery shopping on maxi.ca. The site is slow. Probably very badly optimized. That goes for all browsers.
But on Chrome, it's a passable experience. I can type in the search field at a normal speed. I can generally scroll without too many issues.
But on Firefox, it is excruciating. When I type in the search field, it takes a few seconds for each letter to show up. When I scroll, there's often a significant delay. When I add a product to my cart, the button takes a good full second to react.
And it gets worse as you keep using the site. At some point 10-15 minutes in, it's no longer usable. You need to refresh the page or even kill Firefox to restore things to the horrible but usable initial experience.
I don't know what's going on. Are they coding things horribly but Chrome has some kind of cheaty optimization to compensate for horrible JavaScript? I don't know but this is starting to erode my loyalty to Firefox, built on the fear of a web engine monopoly and moral principles.
