I have had this problem for about 9 months. The reason is somehow related to the autoplay of multimedia on web pages. Technical information is given at the end.

After starting work on the computer, all functions work correctly. The video plays normally. After several hours of working at the computer, scrolling through the feed on Instagram (before the video appears in the feed), or viewing stories, or opening a video on YouTube, the web page freezes for a few seconds, after which the screen also turns off for a few seconds (not goes blank), and when it is turned back on, the video either does not play at all showing the loading animation, or only the sound is played, and instead of the video, only a rectangle filled with a random color (black, green, pink) appears.

After that, ALL videos in ALL open tabs stop playing again. Google spreadsheets also stop working (sometimes it also happens because of them, not the video).

This issue also affects other programs on this PC. For example, Telegram Desktop. It shows previews of images and videos, stickers and GIFs, but when I try to open an image to full screen or play a video, the screen goes completely black. But at this time the video is playing and I can hear the sound. Although the mouse cursor is not showing, the controls work and I can close the view in the upper right corner.

Restarting programs does not solve the problem, but ending the Windows session or restarting helps.

Everytime I try to do a search in Firefox I get a Manuals Library page come up. Why is it doing this? I did a search not long ago for a user's manual for a product, and I guess I accidentally downloaded this Manuals Library. Now I have no idea how to get rid of it. When printing double-sided from Firefox 103, the second page comes out upside-down. A previous thread 'Two-sided printing rotating on wrong axis' reported this problem for Firefox 85 / 86, and said that it was fixed by updating to the current version. I have the current version, but am getting the same problem. I have tried manually setting instructions to flip on long side (portrait orientation), but that doesn't work. Help!

I am using Ethernet for my network connection for my HP Desktop and in my Ethernet Adapter I have my IPv4 set to use Cloudflare's DNS servers 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 and in my IPv6 I am also using Cloudflare's DNS servers 2606:4700:4700::1111 and 2606:4700:4700::1001 . My Network Profile is set to Private and I have file and printer sharing disabled. My question is that should I disable DNS over HTTPS in my Firefox(default)browser Connection Settings? I may be wrong but to me it feels a little redundant using Cloudflare DNS Servers in my Ethernet adapter and using Cloudflare in my Firefox Connection Setting as well. I would greatly appreciate any insight and suggestions and also should I have "Use system proxy settings" checked.

I want to be able to open, say, pdf files and NOT have them saved in the downloads directory unless I mark them to be saved in the open dialogue. Firefox worked that way for years. I reported this as a bug, I think in V.101. After much palaver, some of it irrelevant, the bug was reported fixed, but it has not been.

I want compact mode back! I had a theme that enabled it, now it's not working. Not only that, enabling compact mode in config didn't make it compact, nor did it give me the option to change densities in the toolbar under "more tools." What's even more aggravating is that Firefox has made all the elements too big so I feel like it's set for a low-vision user. I can't change the graphical aspects, changing the fonts did not help. I was wondering if there is an add-on or a native feature which helps to set a master password(or a pin code) and allow me to choose which websites require this password. I have some accounts, mails etc. and they are always logged in. Of course I can log out or completely sign out from my system account but I dont want to do this. Instead I just want to set it for certain websites and when I want to open it from pins or when I type it, should ask me my pin code. After that it can allow me to enter and I can do my work where I left before without any log-in/out issues.

I checked this or smt similar to this but could't find. Hope someone can help.

Yesterday I went to use my Arkscan Label printer as I always have for years and it distorts the image very largely as appose to fitting 4 x 6 as it always has. I re downloaded the driver, checked my setting from my label shipping site (etsy) and all is the same. My co-workers is still working, (she does not do automatic updates). After reaching out to technical support from Arkscan it is a widespread problem after your latest update to firefox. I was suggested to use a different browser such as Chrome or Edge. Will you be addressing this issue ASAP or should I use another browser from here on out?

Background; Yesterday I had corrupted file in Windows 10. Windows 10 wouldn't open and the solution was to reinstall Windows but save my data but lose the apps. When I reinstalled Firefox, all of my book marks were gone.

I have gone to the support articles provided and pulled and tried to locate my "old" profile. I couldn't my last attempt was to go the Profiles Manager ( about Profiles). I see the Profile default and I see the Profile default release. I have switched between the two and neither are My Old Profile.

The question: I want to be sure I have exhausted all possibilities in locating my Old Profile, before i start the manual rebuild process?

Also I have by data backed up in Carbonite, but I don't know if is backed up there or how to find it.

On Firefox (windows 11, 103.0.1 64bit) I get the landing screen but nothing else. On edge and chrome I can scroll down to access the rest of the website.

I have run in troubleshooting(safe) mode and tried disabling hardware acceleration.

It's not the end of the world as I can use the website with a different browser, but the rest of the family don't try different browsers and just moan at me instead. So if there is a simple setting change that might improve compatibility then I'm happy to do it

Ever since the past four months of updates, the FireFox browser, when left open and idle for 4 to 5 hours leads to browser going offline and needs complete reboot of browser, and the lose of open tabs. Other browsers do not go offline, even when running at the same time that FireFox is open.
