I had enail from The New York Times <nytdirect@nytimes.com> in my addess/inbpx. After some thunderbird update it is reguar ly appears in address/Junk folder and I ca not permanently return it to inbox. The New York Times <nytdirect@nytimes.com>i did enter it in personal address book because it promised not to send in Junk items mensioned in apersonal address book - effect, next day again in Junk. I right click on address in message text when in Junk folder and asked to deliver the messages in inbox before analizing for junk - again null effect. On clicking "Not Junk a particular message it sometimes opens in inbox but onl for this time, and next messages with The New York Times <nytdirect@nytimes.com> again surface in Junk folder. My subscription tp NT is active andthey regularly are sending me newsletters and alerts. I can not find what Thunderbird think mark the junk message. So I ask to tell me hhow to return this The New York Times <nytdirect@nytimes.com> to mu inbox and take it off the Junk folder.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird for emails. Somehow I have clicked something and lost the actual email, unless I double click on it and then it appears as though I am replying to said email. I have the columns subject/correspondence/date and that is all. I've tried many ways to get the emails back on screen, but can't see how. I'm not overly computer literate. Many thanks for any help.

This is something I've never encountered, since I hardly ever go to the Sent folder except to look at something I sent. But this was a different task.

I've had a series of emails from a friend, that my wife wanted me to forward to her so she could see them. So I went to the Sent folder, and forwarded 3 of those emails to my wife. Then she told me she only got one so I went back to Sent and thought they would be at the top of the list, 1-2-3, but that was not what I found. Since those emails were each part of several different threads in the back and forth with my friend, it took me a long time to figure out which email to pick off and resend. I made sure I was sorting them by date, descending, but was bewildered that the listing had the ones I wanted embedded (see screenshot, with the ones I just sent highlighted in red)

So my question is, is there a setting where I could tell Tbird to sort strictly by send date?

I Menu app icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information

Under 'Application Basics' - Profile Folder - click on 'Open Folder'

This opens a new window showing the contents of your current in use profile name folder.

Exit Thunderbird now - this is important.

Look for the following files and delete them.

   cert8.db - obselete file
   cert9.db - currently used file
   key3.db - obselete file
   key4.db - current used file
   logins.json - current used file
pkcs11.txt (some people report this file missing)
   secmod.db - obselete file
   session.json
   xulstore.json

See next comment before you start Thunderbird as you need to empty cache files.

Start Thunderbird

Add yahoo and make sure all the settings are correct. Make sure Authentication Method is Oauth and user name is full yahoo email address.

Report on results.

ADDITIONAL Whilst Thunderbird is closed - after you have deleted the files mentioned previously.

access : C:/Users/ User Account/Appdata/Local/Thunderbird/Profiles/ Please note this is the Appdata 'Local' location which the computer uses as a cache. Be sure you are in the 'Local' and not the 'Roaming' Delete the contents of the 'Profiles' folder.

then start Thunderbird. keep having to reset my secure key password and tried this in "Roaming" instead of "Local" Help!

Since a few months ago the newtab page layout has been changed. The site icons are now smaller, leaving a wide margin on the page. In my opinion this margin is too wide and looks strange. Is there any way to change it back?

I once bought an item from a company by the name of Autumnook Since then everyday I get an email for some bunch of products they want to sell, of no interest to me. There is an Unsubscribe on the bottom of each mail, but it has no effect.

The only email is the 'reply' address support@autumnook.com I have emailed many times - you get an automated 'we will respond within 2 working days' .. and nothing else. On their website the only contact listed is the same support@autumnook.com

Any suggestions how I can get these mails stopped  ?

I currently have 3 Comcast mail accounts I access from my home PC using Outlook 2016 configured for POP3. For each of the 3 Outlook accounts I designate a common PST file on my home PC. Thus when launching Outlook messages from all 3 accounts are downloaded from Comcast and stored in this one PST file. Can I configure Thunderbird to do the same?
