I accidentally clicked on a site that was supposed to be a game review site that I found on a Bing search. Now I get pop up ads for fake virus programs whenever I run Firefox.

I ran a scan with Mallware Bytes and Microsoft Defender and both scans came up clean.

I am including a screenshot of the popups.

Any ideas?

To set the tone, I hate smartphones. My computer just died, meaning now everything must be done on this dratted device. It's a Samsung Galaxy A35 5G, and I can't even find what software I am running, although my last system update was 7/1, and I autoupdate Firefox. I cannot log into Walmart on this thing. I put in my e-mail, but instead of asking for my password, it takes me to Walmart's home page. This happens repeatedly. I feel strongly about not using corporate apps, so I don't want to install Walmart's. I am using AdGuard AdBlocker and Privacy Badger

When I open a new tab, it says "I'm a temporary text to indicate you're on the new Tab Fragment"

Seems like a bug and I didn't know the best place to report it

Hi, I have been used to seeing a 'New Message' panel and the list of tasks including 'File' 'View' 'Edit' 'Tools' etc on Thunderbird's opening email screen for many years. I may have mistakenly made the modification which has resulted in them no longer appearing. I am still able to send emails via clicking on the mail symbol next to my email address and then clicking 'Write a new message' but prefer to avoid this step. I usually click on 'File' to empty the Deleted emails but as above, 'File' etc doesn't show. Neither do the number of emails in my Deleted file. The panel below the list of email files now shows 'Welcome to Freedom' which is new. I am an old codger eighty years old and my computer skills are fairly modest. I hope you can provide a simple fix. TAB I am a new user of Firefox and when I open the browser today, I only had the use of one tab on each window. Yesterday, before closing for the night, I had multiple tabs. How do I get tabs so I can open multiple windows on each screen?

Gmail, Calendar, YouTube either timeout, or they render in an unusable state that looks like the html engine is broken. However, bringing up firefox in troubleshooting mode is fine. Earlier today I did update Java. Otherwise no difference. Other browsers are also fine. Firefox is my default browser so this is a bit unworkable.

For now, I will use Firefox troubleshooting mode...

One of my TB accounts has two archive folders, one named Archive and one named Archives. The Archive folder has nothing in it while the Archives folder has several years of messages in it. How can I delete the non-functional Archive folder?

I've been a TB user for 10+ years and been using POP with two GMail accounts. I have my TB set-up such that eMAIL is downloaded to my laptop and then sorted into LOCAL Folders by using Message Filters. Everything works.

I now have a desktop as well as my laptop. I've been told that it would be a much better idea to switch to IMAP for both machines (I use TB on both). If I do, I have a few questions:

1. Numbered list item Can I still copy from my "Inbox" to a set of Local Folders and use Message Filters to sort my eMAIL by sender?
2. Numbered list item Can I use a "unified" Inbox on each machine, as opposed to having two different Inboxes for my two GMail accounts?
3. Numbered list item Is there a guide for new IMAP users as to how to set this up?

I want to increase the drop down list to show more frequent URLs. Is there a setting that allows me to do it? I have looked and haven't found it. Also, Can I reduce the number of recent searches displayed on this panel. The recent change of adding them detracts from my usage of the drop down list.

When I have the quick filter row displayed I can type something to search for. There is a row of "filters", like "unread", "tag", etc. that I can select to narrow down the set of messages to search in. But there's no indication which filter is active. The row of filters looks exactly the same whether they are active or not. As a result, it's hard to know if I'm not getting results because there aren't any or because I've clicked a filter by accident or have forgotten I did.

Unable to send any emails although all the server settings are correct have the attached dialogue box come up see screenshot. suspect this is not directly a prob with Thunderbird as was having problems with some undelivered email with outlook.

I have read all your tutorials. I was unable to have an important televisit with my doctor yesterday because nothing I tried worked. I am unable to use webcam for other sites until I resolve this problem. Previously I had no problem with my webcam but recently had to get new pc with windows 11 & needs to configure my pc to address this issue. I have another appt scheduled with another doctor & need to fix this problem asap Thanks
