Edit functions do not work
Posting here, as advised by John99.
On a Forum I use the Edit functions do not work, they just give [ undefined ] and [ /undefined ] (without the spaces). This only happens with Firefox and has been going on since June last year. The same Edit functions work normally in Chrome and IE. The Forum is a Sports Forum 'New-606' and it is only on this one that has the problem, the Edit functions work normally on other Forums I use, e.g. NOT606. Link : New-606.co.uk
John99 Hi Ljones, Sorry you are having problems, but probabily best to initially post in /questions/new if you have not already done so. Our own forum appears to be broken in some respects when used from a mobile, so for instance I can not easily find your posts.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Thanks for the advice, cor-el, I have tried Firefox in Safe Mode but the Edit functions on New-606 still do not work. That would exonerate the plug-ins, so it looks like a core Firefox error. But if that is the case, why does this Edit error happen on just one Site and not on all Sites ?
Different forums have different code for styling. Are the tools supposed to insert standard BBCode, as described here: http://www.bbcode.org/reference.php?
Since there's no guest posting on the forum, someone might have to register to try it out.
Thanks for that, jscher2000, I have noticed one difference between New-606 and that BBCode; New-606 has the command 'align' to determine if data is placed left, centre or right. As as workaround I enter the BBCodes manually in the Posts I make on New-606 when using Firefox. It is a nuisance, but I have tried IE and Chrome, where the Edit functions do work, but I do not like IE and Chrome. I have no access to the BBCodes on New-606, I think it is only the Site Owner who has access. - I have informed the Site Owner of this Edit problem, ages ago !!!

Thanks for the info, cor-el, I have added that BBCodeXtra to Firefox and will let folks here know how things fared when I return.
I now have that BBCodeXtra as an Extension to Firefox, but found when I went to add a Post on New-606 that the Extension does nothing. How is the Extension activated ?
