Firefox freezing when trying to add attachments on Gmail messages and other issues

more options

Whenever I try to add an attachment to my Gmail message it freezes and locks up Firefox and I have to restart Firefox. I can move to another browser and it works just fine so it is a Firefox issue. Also, Firefox is very slow, especially with certain sites like Amazon, Wayfair, etc. It gets slower the longer you use those sites. I cannot even open some sites such as my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union and Etsy. I can open them on a different browser same computer. While I like that Firefox helps with privacy I think I am going to have to move to another browser as I can no longer tolerate these issues. If you have fixes, that would help. I couldn't find any on the Help search.

kiwikrs, Thank you for including your Troubleshooting Information. Few people do. Anyway, there are times when too much blocking can occur and often times it is within the extensions themselves. It's like they fight each other over what is going to be blocked. This conflict can be realized in different ways and... well... it doesn't take much to figure out who the victim is.

With that much said, I noticed - DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials and Privacy Badger along with Total Cookie Protection and website breakage FAQ https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/total-cookie-protection-and-website-breakage-faq

is probably causing you a conflict.

Try disabling one or the other or setting an exception to see if your issue will be resolved.
