i tried updating thunderbird to the current version 682.1 and tried to insatall the emoji
according to the extentions in this version it said it was installed but when i went to write all it showed was an empty box with no emotes

it had installed did not say corrupt or could not be installed but did not work perhaps i did not do something correctly to make it work
I think I may have installed the wrong version of the emoji should i have installed emoji 168? i went back to 60.90 instead
pleasase let me know if the168 version is the corect version for 68.2.1

Sorry no one replied earlier. Perhaps because not a high percentage of people use it. Anyway, according to https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/emojiaddin/?src=search the addon was made compatible with version 68 in February, so you should be able to update.
Please note that each add-on has a contact / support link on the add-on page so you can ask questions and post bug reports - they can often respond better than the Thunderbird support area.
