Unable to connect, firefox already running

more options

Hi

I am having multiple intermittent firefox issues:

Certain sites are intermittently blocked, usually government or secure sites saying "unable to connect" and giving no advanced options Firefox already running - doesn't cause many problems besides being annoying

I have tried all the antvirus, malware and firewall settings, have tried the IvP6 settings and the other things suggested in articles on this site, have tried parental, security and proxy settings, have reinstalled, have reset internet and computer, all of which haven't worked. So far every forum or article I have found has failed to solve the issue. Restarting the computer sometimes works...

Thanks

What do you mean by advanced options? Is this the page Firefox displays when there is a problem with a site's SSL certificate? Or a different page? Any difference if you reload (Ctrl+r)?

Do you notice any pattern to when the sites are unavailable? At least one user had an issue where at a certain time in the evening he would lose internet access because the provider was blocking it, maybe some kind of parental control feature.
