Firefox crashes randomly after long runtime.
Hi, I hope you can help me. Since Firefox 28 seems my Firefox to crash randomly after a long system runtime. It runs stable after a Complete reboot but after 1-3 days system uptime Firefox crashes and then randomly after short time, mostly minutes after Firefox restart it crashes again. It seems to be more likely to happen if I watch HD Videos through the Flashplayer.
Here are some crash ids:

- bp-af8b7cc8-76d4-4e71-954d-f53ca2140511
What I tried to solve the Problem:
- Update Firefox
- Reinstall Flashplayer
- Delete old unneeded plug-ins/add-ons
System:
- OS: Windows 7 Professional N 64bit
- CPU: Intel Core 17-2700K CPU @ 3.50GHz
- RAM: 16 GB
- Graphics: Gerorce GTX 770 (Driver 335.23)
I hope I gave enough information about the problem.
edit: sorry if its hard to read but somehow seems this board to remove my formation

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
- In previous Firefox versions, click on the Firefox button at the top left of the Firefox window and click on Help (or click on Help in the Menu bar, if you don't have a Firefox button) then click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
I tried the Safe mode and got a Crash directly after I wanted to reply in this thread. Here is the crash report:

I done some Memory testing and it seems that one of my memory modules had a fault. I took it out of my PC and hope that fixed my problem.
If in a week no further crashes occur I will report again.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Ok after I removed my faulty RAM module, the the number of crashes drastically reduced. But I still get a crash after a few days of runtime. Most times before Firefox crashes there are render errors. Parts of the Webpage or the Whole Webpage goes Black. I didn't try till now to deactivate the Hardware acceleration. If it crashes again in similar fashion I will report back.
Here are some recent Crash reports:

- be00f2ec-54c4-44bd-bce1-fa2808b7ef43
As you maybe see there are like 3-4 days between the Crashes. And to run Windows so long in Saftymode is no option for me sorry. As far as I can say my windows is Virus and spyware free.
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Ok I still get these wired black artefact's and it seams like Firefox gets a hiccup every few minutes. It normally don't take long to a crash from this point on.
Like I said a few Moments later it crashed. This is the corresponding crashid:

What maybe helps to figure out the problem. I use 3 Monitors, 2 are on my Nvidia 770GTX Graphics card and 1 on my onboard which is powered by a Intel i7-2700K.
The Problem is still persistent here are some new Crash ids:
