Firefox processing symbol persists when message has been sent

Firefox has a turning symbol to indicate processing going on. When I have been sending a message in Hotmail Outlook this symbol continues indefinitely as if the message is still being sent. This does not happen if I call up Hotmail using Internet Explorer. The messages actually were sent. This resulted in my trying again and again - and in fact sending repeated messages to the wife of someone gravely ill! I uninstalled Firefox and re-installed three time and the problem persists.

Microsoft was aware of this issue. This has now been resolved. See https://status.live.com/detail/hotmail

If your issue still persists, try the following:

Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using one of the following steps:

  • Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.

OR

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)
