Hi,
You can update Firefox to the latest: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
or via Firefox Help (Alt + H) > About Firefox.
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/update/
Please also make sure that Remember my browsing history and download history is enabled in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Privacy, and also, if Clear history when Firefox closes is enabled, click Settings and deselect Download History.
If problems persist, you can also try deleting downloads.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder after exiting Firefox.
To open the profile folder via Firefox: Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder.
Firefox Profile Folder & Files
If the settings adjustment fails, you can reset Firefox and start afresh. The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

You have a corrupted user agent that identifies you as Firefox/10.
- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:10.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0
See:
nothing working still when the download finished it get removed from the downloads window...
Trying to avoid a reset :/
Thanks a lot for the adivces though, tried them all
Can you confirm that you remember downloads?
- Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember download history"
Are they also absent in the download manager while downloading?
Do you see all downloads in the Downloads folder in the Bookmarks and History Manager (Library)?
- History > Show All History
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
I can see the files while being downloaded only when they are done.. they disappear
that s the image
disabled all add-dons still the same issue.
Do you see the downloaded files in the Downloads folder in the History Manager (Library)?
- History > Show All History
cor-el yes I do see the downloads in History > Show All History
Did you try to delete the downloads.sqlite database file?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
yes of course I tried all what was posted earlier
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
You can also try to reset Firefox:
ok I had to reset Firefox now it s working well now I ve got the Syn key issue can t recall where I ve saved it and if I generate a new one I ll loose all the previous data :/
In Set Up Sync (Tools or Alt + T), you can try selecting I Have an Account, wait for the code to appear, and enter the code on the other device/PC via Pair a Device.
If you're unable to complete the above procedure you can also copy/overwrite the places.sqlite from the Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop into the newly reset profile after exiting Firefox. To open the newly reset profile folder via Firefox: Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information > Show Folder.
Maybe I did not explain something, wanted to sync on the same machine the main browser since I had to remove it and reinstall new one...
