Clearing the cache might not help, try the following:-

1) Cross check is 'Show my windows and tabs from last time' checked (see attached file 'Open tabs from last time'). Also refer to this website wrt 'session restore' https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Session-Restore

2) try clearing up the entire history and then see if the same problem occurs (Tools -> Clear Recent History)
