I have in the past opted for "never remeber password for this site". I now want the site to remember password. Pls help

Next (having checked that you are not blocking saving passwords) Click on the favicon at the location bar for the url where you signin, then click on "More Information..." next look at "Security" tab for information of what you have done, then look at "Permissions" tab where you need to accept cookies for site, by default or by Allow.

  • go to Firefox/Tools>'Option>Security>Password>Exceptions and remove the website which you want to save password
  • after remove the exception list try to login on that page and when Firefox will prompt for remember password, click it

Not helping. Sorry

"Not helping" appears to be in conflict with having chosen "Solution chosen".

If there is still a problem try deleting the cookies for the site.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.

You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

Add on enables editing. "Remember password" works very well now. Thanks a lot. Problem solved.
