Many websites display with missing areas & missing clickable link boxes or link boxes that are not indicated as a link (this Firefox help page is one example). If someone posts an answer to my help question how-where will I see it?

Many websites open with large areas missing (all white) and clickable link boxes that are actually there but invisible. Many websites (including this Firefox help site) have clickable link boxes that are seen but are not indicated as being clickable. Never saw this problem until I downloaded Firefox-5.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Windows Accessibility settings.

Hello-- Thanks for the suggestions-- I have followed up on them but unfortunately, the problem is still there. Many areas of web-pages are blank-- but if I run the mouse pointer over them it changes from an arrowhead to a hand and I can click on the empty (blank white) spot. The problem is that I have no idea what is being clicked on. This problem exists with MANY webpages, including this Mozilla.com page I am seeing right now.

This problem does not exist with other browsers. Great, except that I much prefer Firefox to Chrome, Opera or IE.

Thanks again--

Mike B

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Thanks for the feedback on possible cures for the problem!! I will poke around and see if I can find a webpage that illustrates what I am seeing and do a screen-capture of it for you (50-100Kb) and get pack to you in the next day or so. Thanks again!!

I found one example of the problem almost immediately and have attached a screenshot from Firefox and one from Internet Explorer. If I run my mouse cursor over the empty places the arrow turns into a hand indicating that I am hovering over a clickable link but I cannot see what it is.

I will continue to experiment with the suggestions you made.

Many thanks for all your help!!
