Lost Bookmarks when upgrading to 4.0
HELP! When I upgraded to 4.0, my bookmarks were wiped out. All my settings, add-ons, passwords etc were carried over.
-- nothing in "lost bookmarks" helped.
The chat person could not suggest anything.
I am a masters student and desperately need those bookmarks for my final project!
HELP!

Do you have the Bookmark Tab in your Menu Bar? If you do, can you use RESTORE function under Import/Export:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
Thank you, but I clearly wrote that I tired all the "lost bookmark" advice. That included this backup thing. I never used it before so there was nothing to import from.
I am really looking for a IT response for this question as all advice on this website did not work.
This can be caused by a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
