When I download and try to install firefox it locks my computer and will not finish the install on my windows 7 pc
When I download firefox, I get through the installation process, but when I click, finish and open firefox, my PC freezes and I have to force it to quit and reboot, then when I log back on, the Firefox shortcut on my desktop won't work. I've tried to install six times. I don't know what the problem is.

Had the same drama with Windows 7 64 bit this is what I was told to do and it worked for me!!
Close all applications and reboot the computer. Delete any downloaded or partially downloaded installer files. Clear the browser cache (of whatever browser you are using to download FF) and the Windows Temp directory. Delete the directory C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox Shutdown any anti-virus software you are running. Download a new copy of the full installer from www.mozilla.com Run the installer. Restart the anti-virus program.
