Tried several fixes for lost bookmarks that didn't work - what else to try?
Suddenly all my bookmarks and bookmark bar disappeared from Firefox 3.6. Also could not save new bookmarks. No recent upgrades - it happened in the middle of a day after waking up Mac from sleep. Running Mac OS 10.5.8 on a 20" iMac.

Try all the options in the lost bookmarks article
Thanks for the encouragement - it took a few more tries, but I eventually was able to generate a new Profile and recover a bookmark bu from the old Profile and restore the bookmarks.
