I can't get sound on my laptop.
When I look at videos on my laptop, I see the images but get no sound. What do I need to do get the accompanying sound in the videos? Thank you, Linda

Are you talking about no sound for Firefox or no sound for the whole laptop (for whatever application)?
If you do not have sound for the whole laptop, for example, when you try to play a local media using a media player, there is no sound, then you need check
1. if you mute the system or volume is too low to hear 2. if your sound card driver is working 3. or if your audio hardware is ok, for example, to test speakers in your sound settings
If only Firefox has no sound, you can try https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-to-do-if-firefox-wont-play-any-sounds
