Firefox on macOS. After most recent update, when I open new tabs I get

Oops, something went wrong loading this content. Refresh and try again

I went to settings to make sure Firefox Home was the default loaded on New Tabs, which it is. How do I fix this?

jbr, thanks for responding. You're right, I meant macOS. I finally did the time-honored trouble-shooting move of shutting down and restarting. That fixed it.

I don't believe this happens on iOS (mobile) as the Firefox for iOS app has no such string.

If you mean macOS — i.e. on desktop, try accessing Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues and click the button in the box for "Try clearing the startup cache"…
