the same website keeps reopening after I have closed it

Hi there, if you just close Firefox with the "close all apps" option, it usually doesn't close your tabs. You have to either close them manually, set them to automatically close after a specific time or activate "Delete browsing data on quit", which has the open to close open tabs. Please be aware that "Delete browsing data on quit" won't delete it, if you do it with the "close all apps" option, you have to open the menu in Firefox and select "Quit Firefox" for it to work. Depending on the settings you choose, it can also delete your history, cookies and other things.

Hey, that sounds super annoying 😅 I think I get what you mean — you close everything, but that one site just keeps popping back up in Firefox like it never left.

I faced something similar a while back on my Android. In my case, it turned out Firefox was restoring previous tabs automatically after restart. Also once it was a sketchy site sending push notifications.

What worked for me:

Check Firefox settings → turn off “Open previous tabs” Clear site data + cache for that specific site Disable notifications from that website (very important)

Is it happening with just one specific site or multiple ones?
