Installed Thunderbird on new computer and won't find a server
I have an existing account on my old computer. When I put Thunderbird on my new computer, it downloaded thousands of old emails but would not open new mail. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't show new mail.

Did you install fresh? or did you trransfer the profile from old computer? Knowing the specific details is important because thunderbird does not just read old messages. is this a POP account? are you receiving any error messages? please share full text of any messages. A possibility is that, if you transferred the profile, what you are seeing might be previously downloaded messages. thank you.
