Why remove the home button?

For some unknown reason, you guys decided to remove the “home” button from the Firefox browser app for IOS. I have been using a home button on my browsers for over 30 years now and by removing it you have rendered the Firefox browser unusable to me. Why try to fix something that wasn’t broken? I shouldn’t have to open a new tab every single time I want to go to my home page! Who thought this was a good idea? Just so you know, I will most likely be looking for an alternative browser to replace Firefox if this is going to be a permanent thing.

Hi flatulator,

I can totally understand your frustration. We've been seeing more and more feedback about this after the recent Firefox for iOS redesign.

To make sure that your feedback reach the team, you may want to vote on the following idea on our official feedback platform.

Hi flatulator, good news!

The team actually started the progressive the functionality to customize the toolbar by choosing New Tab button or a Home button with the release of 143.2 that came out yesterday.

Please update to 143.2 to make sure that you'll be the first to get the feature when we roll it out.
