Due to the current transition from Skype to Teams Free, I was wondering about what reported here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-client-system-requirements In the "New Teams for web" section I can read that the latest three versions of Firefox will be supported for Windows, macOS and Linux. In the "New Teams on Linux" section I can read that "Linux users have access to New Teams for Web and new Teams as a progressive web app (PWA)"

So my question: Will I be able to use the new Microsoft Teams for Web Free from the latest Firefox on Linux Mint 21.1?

Thank you

Best Regards

You should contact Microsoft support for that question.

What about the "... as a progressive web app (PWA)" part? Is Firefox supporting these?

Thx

14 days ago I asked to this forum about PWAs but I didn't have any answer yet. Today I stumbled on this https://www.ghacks.net/2025/03/17/firefox-mozilla-is-working-on-progressive-web-apps-pwa-support/ and so I try asking again (please see details in my initial post): will I be able to use the new Microsoft Teams for Web Free from the latest Firefox on Linux Mint 21.1? Thank you

Why not just go try it??? It works for me. see screenshot
