Firefox, unlike Chrome and other popular browser, isn't using the Chromium engine. The benefit of this is that Google can't enforce any weird or privacy-unfriendly rules or manifest on Firefox. This means that with minimal tweaks, Firefox is one of the best privacy-friendly browser out there.
