Inability to access my email address in forms

In web forms that ask for my email address Firefox displays a message 'Manage passwords' instead of displaying me email address. I cannot find a way to disable this irritating feature which means I have to write in my email address every time which in turn increases the likelihood of mistyping my address. I have searched all over the place trying to find an answer but without luck. Can someone tel me how to disable this? Thanks.

Then you should turn off Firefox browser Remember login/pswd setting options if you don't want it to show. Firefox password manager is either "enbabled or disabled" there is no in-between.

That's very disappointing. I don't mind new features but those that impose inconvenience like this should be optional. It seems dumb to me. I don't need a nanny.
