Hi. I want to sync with my work pc (it used to work just fine but when I synced to a newer third pc- successfully- it just stopped). When i try to sign in on the work pc it asks me for the primary password which it then FAILS to recognise to allow me to proceed! What's going on? I can't even log onto sites with saved passwords anymore. Any help appreciated.

The Primary Password is only used locally to encrypt the logins stored in the profile folder and is never part of Sync and each device can have its own PP apart from mobile devices that use OS authentication (face/finger).

Did you copy any files to the profile folder on that new device as only a key4.db file that has a PP stored can cause asking for the PP?

You can open about:sync-log via the location bar to see if recent Sync logs are available. You can upload the file to a website like Pastesite if you can't post the content of the file in a reply.

Not advised as if you can see it so can IT can see it. Keep personal browsing habits off company owned computers as anything you do on it they can track it.
