Firefox + Windows 7 : Some tabs/sites crashes regularly
This has been going for a couple of days.
I have tried starting in safe mode, didn't help.
I have tried disabling JavaScript, didn't help.
Two "main sites" affected, Feedly and Gmail. Feedly had this problem but it disappeared after a while. Now Gmail is having problems. I can move around and read mails but not respond to them.
Other sites affected "seems" to have in common that they are blog-type, perhaps like WordPress or similar.
I have a Windows 10 computer with the same browser setup and there have been no problems there so far.
The version is 86.0.1 (64-bit).
I'm not technically advanced so please be gentle with me.

I think I did just that.
Anyway, when on my Windows 10 computer I noticed that there was an upgrade for Firefox available so I went over to my Windows 7 computer. I tried one last time with one of the failing links and it still crashed.
Then I upgraded and the crashes were gone. This is almost two days ago and everything has been hunky dory since so whatever caused the crashes was fixed with the upgrade.
Thanks for your support.

Hello ArneStockholm
If i recall, google likes to confirm the devices that is linked to the google accounts.
So double check your account settings, maybe in the privacy and security sections, and ensure the device you are using to read your gmails is recognized by google.
Yes, the devices I use are linked to my Google account but I don't understand what that has to do with the almost random problems I experiencing on other sites.
thanks for the update.
I offered the suggestion to ensure that there were no unknowns left unchecked.
i believe that a great deal of time and energy have been placed on the security and privacy issues by many tech companies.
however, none of them are working together. so everyone, per se, have implemented their versions of security and conflicts be expected.
all things being equal, you should not be experiencing the issue you are having.
I am not as well as many others. so i am inclined to believe that FF is not causing you the issue but something is causing issues for your FF. but this is just an over simplified opinion.
in any case, i look forward to seeing what is attributing to your errors. :-)
Yes of course it is, and I do appreciate every advice I can get. Sorry if my replay sounded a bit harsh. I blame my parents who didn't raise my properly.
