Trying to send email and Thunderbird times out and says: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) webchick.co timed out. Try again

If I try again this is what it says: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) webchick.co was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.

There is nothing in the outgoing mail....it seems to be plugged up??

disable outgoing mail scanning in your anti virus product of choice.
