Got this message and can't fix it: Sending of password for user ***** did not succeed. Mail server responded: Username and password not accepted.

I can't send or receive emails on my desktop computer. Keep getting this message "Sending of password for user ***** did not succeed. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: Username and password not accepted."

I have not changed my password and I can get my gmail on my tablet and phone with no problems. Nothing has changed on my end. I have deleted and add my original password several times. Checked and double checked user name. No changes have been made. Not sure where to go from here!

How many times should I do this? I've been getting the same circular response.

T'bird will not accept my username and password. I've changed the password a number of times. Same response.
