There is no excuse why Mozilla has not fixed this bug!!! I have to switch to Google Chrome or Microsoft edge to print these shipping labels and resetting Firefox's printer settings does nothing to address this issue. If the other browsers work than Firefox should be ashamed for creating this bug with Firefox Quantum. FIX IT!!!!

Hello,

The Refresh feature (called "Reset" in older Firefox versions) can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose any extensions, toolbar customizations, and some preferences. See the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article for more information.

To Refresh Firefox:

  1. Open the Troubleshooting Information page using one of these methods:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information. A new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
    • If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting Information page.
  2. At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Refresh Firefox" ("Reset Firefox" in older Firefox versions). Click on it.
  3. Firefox will close. After the refresh process is completed, Firefox will show a window with the information that is imported.
  4. Click Finish and Firefox will reopen.

Did this fix the problem? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

Stab in the dark (just to make sure) :

Would you please check Firefox settings to use Adobe Reader - see this article :

This is ridiculous-I'm supposed to jump through hoops and spend hours to fix a problem that no other browser has? It's Mozilla's job to produce a browser that works not my job to fix all of its issues! Why don't you contact them to fix it? Join PayPal shipping to send your next package and fill out all of the options including payment and then when it tells you to print your shipping label click on the print button and watch the loading circle go around and around without loading anything OR just change to any other browser and watch it work. I have been told this is an issue with JAVA which is used by the shipping software and the Post Office and which Mozilla has not dealt with due to problems with Quantum/Java incompatibility. Unless you have tried to print a label from PayPal shipping on Firefox please don't make any more suggestions to waste my time. This is an issue for Mozilla to fix not individual Firefox users. Thanks, Milesmonk

I have been told this is an issue with JAVA which is used by the shipping software and the Post Office and which Mozilla has not dealt with due to problems with Quantum/Java incompatibility.

The NPAPI Java Plugin from Oracle (and every other NPAPI Plugins) has not been supported by Chromium, Chrome, Opera since Sept 2015 and Firefox since 53.0 has only allowed the Flash Player Plugin from Adobe to run. Only IE and the almost EOL legacy Firefox 52 ESR even allowed the NPAPI Java Plugin to run for a long while now.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/npapi-plugins

Even Oracle is discontinuing their vulnerable NPAPI Java Plugin as it is not in Java 9.

I tested both Chrome and Edge and both allowed the PayPal Postal Label to print while Firefox just spins the loading wheel and will not load the label and this is not just my problem as PayPal customer service is very aware of this problem. When PayPal customers call they are advised to switch to another browser which solves the issue and loads the label so it can be printed. Many Firefox users have also posted this issue and Mozilla continues to fail to respond as they bury their heads in the sand! FLAKY!!! This issue remains wide open and unsolved by Mozilla making Quantum a less than desirable browser until Mozilla takes the responsibility to fix it.

ATTN: Pkshadow- Sir this issue is not exclusive to me as there are several postings about this issue and PayPal itself is also aware of the problem as they get phone calls from customers trying to print their postage labels and they are advised by PayPal to switch to another browser which will allow the label to load for printing. I know as I was one of the callers. You cannot print the label as it does not load in Firefox as the loading circle just continues to turn but never loads. I certainly appreciate the efforts of the volunteers but my hope is that Mozilla management itself will note this issue and fix it. Milesmonk

You can check the Web Console for error messages about this issue.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

Firefox shows the shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case content is blocked by Tracking Protection.

  • click the shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection
  • You can check the Web Console by Tracking Protection
  • "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer

I have removed and reinstalled Quantum several times and check all extentions and none sre blocking the download that I can see. I tried your link to "how-print-website" to see "Page not Found" Others are having this same issue with Firefox not printing PayPal shipping labels which will not load with Firefox but do load with Chrome and Edge. So can only conlude the is an issue that Mozilla should fix. I can't continue to spend more time on it. Thank you- Milesmonk

I just switched the Firefox PDF option to Adobe Reader per a suggestion from McCoy but haven't yet had a chance to see if this works. Both Chrome and Edge work and I haven't set up PDF for Adobe Reader but you never can tell. I need to order another shipping label from PayPal to test it but don't need one at this point- will advise when I do. Thanks, Milesmonk
