None of the redirect posts seem to relate to my problem which is Ghostery blocking a redirect from aol.com to guceadvertising.com which is part of advertising.com. It only happens when I try and access my email using Firefox, I don't have the problem with Internet Explorer. It has only happened on one other, shopping coupon site which I am unable to access due to it. I've run an up to date Norton full system scan twice and nothing was detected. Would uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox get rid of this? If not what can I do?

First, let's make sure your system is clean.

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
